A guy at our club drives a 3-wheel motorcycle, and puts his bag in the passenger sidecar.

I occasionally play with a guy that carries his clubs on his bike.   He did lose his ball retriever on a orange construction barrel but has never lost a club.

Well let's see . . no shirt, no helmet . .wearing tennis shoes . . .we're obviously dealing with a genius here . .so I'm guessing he's got some sort of super sophisticated mechanism of his own design (possibly made of beer tabs) that keeps the clubs in place.

I always use to just have my cover buttoned on, never had a problem with clubs falling out. Did crash once, taking a corner about 50 mph, center of gravity too high and slide onto my side then off the road. Collapsed a lung and was pretty sore for a while. Then I bought a truck.

Funnily enough I have a bag that would stop the clubs falling out. It has a locking mechanism that allows you to lock it to a post, and also grips the clubs so the can't be pulled out of the bag. As yet I have never used the mechanism, but it's nice to know it's there. Here is the bag

In my bag (Motocaddy Light)

Taylormade Burner driver, Taylormade 4 wood, 3 x Ping Karsten Hybrids, 6-SW Ping Karsten irons with reg flex graphite shafts. Odyssey putter, 20 Bridgestone e6 balls, 2 water balls for the 5th hole, loads of tees, 2 golf gloves, a couple of hand warmers, cleaning towel, 5 ball markers, 2 pitch mark repairers, some aspirin, 3 hats, set of waterproofs, an umbrella, a pair of gaiters, 2 pairs of glasses. Christ, it's amazing I can pick the bloody thing up !!

Several years ago when I worked for Achusnet/Titleist, I had to take a putter given me by Scotty Cameron. I just put it on the motorcycle seat and straddled it. I must have been a sight going down the freeway with a putter sticking out of my ass. "Sheesh, people thought, he must have REALLY pissed somebody off."

    • Hey, thanks for the feedback. I do lift weights but I’m also adding yoga or Pilates for mobility and flexibility to my routine.
    • Day 18: 2026.01.20 Continuing work on arm raise during backswing. Starting to feel less weird, especially the slower I go. Looking like a busy week so might be the weekend before I can hit some balls.
    • It’s possible the graphite shaft has a small internal crack or a delamination. Tapping it and hearing a vibrating sound is usually a sign the shaft isn’t behaving as it should. Since the store wasn’t helpful, consider taking it to a club fitter or a pro shop that can check the shaft flex and integrity. If it’s defective, you might be able to get a replacement from the manufacturer.
    • It’s interesting how much a 3D system changes your understanding. Observing top players in full detail and realizing the trail knee shouldn’t fully extend is a great example of why being open to new info is so important. I like your approach: not trying to be “right,” but trying to teach correctly based on actual evidence. Makes sense why golfers would benefit from this perspective.
    • I would say both are equally not the best for golf. Is it better than nothing, sure.  Golf is an athletic motion. Professional golfers are doing a comprehensive workout routine focusing on strength, power, flexibility, stability. They might include some yoga into the routine. I would put both of them in the recovery bin, not golf enhancement bin.  If you want to increase swing speed, core strength, longevity in golf and life, then lift heavy weights.
