Top quality field for the Dubai classic, including  Tiger, hoping his ball striking is on song this week and he makes the weekend, his past record here is 68.71 per round, nice to be around that for him. Forecast for first two days is light rain so make green a little slower. Think there be some low rounds from some inform guys.

Even the cause of cramps is under review now. It was always thought to be dehydration, but now some may be caused by nerve overstimulation. Back spasms have always been a mystery.

Anyone think Tiger will make the cut in Dubai?  I am hoping he does, but think he could struggle again.  What do you think?

I wouldn't be surprised to see him make the cut. Warmer weather and bit more forgiving track than Torrey should help. Hopefully the long flight and jet lag won't be a factor.

I sure hope so.  I love golf either way, but cannot lie, I find it way more interesting and exciting when he is competing...

Gotta love those double-tourney weeks w/ dubai and waste management.

But I agree, more forgiving course=less stress.  Plays almost as much mentally as it does physically so hopefully he just plays loose

oh man, i dont know...that swing was so wonky last week with the short irons, and the driver looked a bit steer-y at times, but there were a bunch of drives that ended up in the rough at Torrey by only a yard or two that wouldve been a fairway lie at more wide open courses. i think i only remember two drives that i would consider "wild"

GC - 11pm - 3am Thur/Fri, 2:30am-6am Fri, 3:30am-6am Sat, 4am-6am Sun (or though completion of the tourney I would guess)

With 12 players out of the 50 top world rankings in field plus some other notable names should be a interesting four days. One senior might shine, referring to Miguel Angel Jimenez.

Mr. Willet has not been in good form, last 6 starts been 1 cut,1 top 10 & rest pretty average, hoping Tiger gets to weekend and has a more confident pairing. My pick for Dubai be Rafa Cabreru Bello who has had good showings in desert swing.

Works out pretty well for those of us here out west - at least for today.  Tiger tees off at 8:15pm our time.

Tomorrow (well Friday actually), it appears as though his group tees off at 12:35am.

Stenson has won in Dubai 3 times,a happy hunting ground for him.I'd like to see Mcdowell get back to his old form........

Right about Sergio lighting it up,6 birdies,1 eagle through 14, no bogies on card as yet, Stensen playing well. Tiger struggling at +3
