1) Break 100 (probably a 2nd half of the year goal)

2) Get my brother down here so he can play on a real course

3) Play in the club championship (even if i dont win it will be fun to play)

Awards, Achievements, and Accolades

1) Must improve driver consistency. I don't have a dependable controlled fade or dependable "nice" draw, but I can get around the course without spraying anything else. That has to change (and a more forgiving driver might help some).

2) Work on putting for at least 25% of all the time I spend working on golf. This is the one area I haven't been disciplined enough about, though that started to change at the end of last year.

3) Increase my lag on the downswing - I am not maximizing my swing potential. This is really just a small part of being disciplined with a coach for the first time ever (only had two lessons in my life - this is stupid).

4) Get my handicap down to a real 5.

5) Shoot under par for 9.

6) Shoot par for 18.

Good luck on your goals, everyone!

My goals for 08 are simple, Scratch golf. I am currently a 7 handicap and as long as I do not get caught up in distance but focus more on accuracy and clean crisp ball striking I should get there easy, I putt well and my short game is very solid, Where I lack consistancy is approach to greens, I will be at about 165 out and just try to hammer a 6 iron home when I should be hitting a 5 smooth, But no I have to hit a 6 cuz some stoopid macho thing about golf says I need too, sheesh I bet that one thing has caused more problems than any thing else in golf, But if I can stay cool and hit the right club then I am very comfortable with what I am doing and my accuracy is good enough, ( I understand I am gonna miss, just my misses aint that bad, I have learned to accept them ) Any ways, I believe I can get down to scratch this year, I have land and have set up great practice area and can just sit on my front porch drink beer and stroke wedges up to 8 irons all day, My thought is screw the driving range, Pounding drivers all day will get you know wheres, Practice hitting flags, AND READ DAVE PELZ

hmm my goals.. I'd have to say is to get down to a 6 Handicap and to play over 30 games this year.

Getting my handicap down will be hard because I'm not specifically going to play one course anymore. I'll be playing a huge variety so if anything It will probably go up.

Goals for 08*

1.) Try to get back down to a single digit handicap. - Been away from the game for two years now and am extremely excited to get back on the course. With my new set of clubs hopefully I wont have to hard of a time adjusting.

2.) Re-gain confidence in my driving capabilities. - When I last played I dreaded the tee box, especially when playing with other people, Need to get back down to the basics and stop thinking so much about where I dont want the ball to go.

3.) Have lots and lots of fun! Thats what the game is all about man
(After I stop having fun on the first hole of the season, all bets are off)

1) Improve fitness and health: was 145lbs. Now am 165 with a belly that hangs over the belt - nasty.. goal is to get down to 155, and get stronger and more flexible.

2) play more golf... barring some things with work my goal is to get more than the 25 rds I got in this past year. goal is to bump that up to 40...

3) practice more... target is to go 3-4x a week and each session being targeted.

4) never lose to my friend - he's never beaten me and we got a trophy/belt bet going starting in '08: best or 7 or 9 keeps the trophy/belt for the entire off-season.

Figure with the above the scores will come...

I'd like to add the goal of playing tougher courses. I love my main course, but really, it isn't the most challenging. My anti-handicap increases immensely when I play a premium course. I'd like to get into the habit of playing courses with a bit more break in their greens and a bit more rough to worry me, maybe some fairway traps too.

Now to find some of these open to the public in Los Angeles.

My goal for 2008 is to get my handicap in the single digit. That means working on my shots around the greens (130 yrds and in), bunkers, and putting (specifically, lag). And win 1st place in my league again.

#1 Not let swing regress to the "chop" it was before I started lessons in October.

#2 Average 29putts or less per round. Down from 33avg in '07

#3 More Fairways and GIR. (don't have last years numbers handy)

#4 Drop the handicap to single digits.
I've spent most of my life golfing - the rest I've just wasted.
