Yah, but I started this thread below in May 2016! I was determined to be finished with this aspect of my swing within a year. Tick tock!

Guess the time doesn't matter, but man, I feel close! It actually feels very comfortable at home without a ball. A bit less comfortable with a ball at home, but I can do it reliably. But still uncomfortable at the range at anything other than slow speed. Oddly, I feel disoriented at the range when I try to do 50% swings or so. I'm counting on more time, and daily reps just bleeding through to the range and eventually the course (when I can play more!).

3/30: A little time on the range today with the camera, not as successful starting the ball to the right, as I've been at home. Was trying to slow down but video confirmed I wasn't, really. It got better after a bit, but still felt off.

stop at top, pump, step thru and full swings + 3 sets alt 7 iron and driver

felt good, starting to try to control swings inside and outside, see if it lasts

did NOT make March challenge, got drunk in Mexican airport instead of practicing one day (definitely worth it ;)

end of first quarter, hitting more fairways and GIRs, hoping that this holds up in Q2

3/31: 10 minutes with 6 iron and plastic balls out front. Small swings, starting it right of my alignment stick. Good to use a 6-iron in the front yard for this, forced me to keep my swings small to keep the balls in my yard. :-)

3/31:  20 mins. putting drills; made practice strokes at super-slow speed, inspired by @mvmac's "Change the dang picture!" thread.  Really seemed to click, giving me consistency in my fully-back and finish positions (and keeping my putts much more on line).  Think I'm gonna continue this one.  On to April!

    • Day 430 - 2025-12-04 Slow motion backswings (with chippy shots) with AlmostGolf balls.
    • Day 24 (4 Dec 25) - Spent about an hour working with the new 55° wedge in the backyard.  Kept all shots to under 20yds.  Big focus - not decelerating thru downswing and keeping speed up with abbreviated backswing.  Nothing like hitting a low flighted chip with plenty of check spin and then purpose to float a pitch of similar distance.
    • Day 114 12-4 Put some work in on backswing, moving the hips correctly, then feeling over to lead side. Didn't hit any balls was just focused on keeping flowy and moving better. I'll probably do another session tonight and add in some foam balls.
    • Didn't say anything about your understanding in my post.  Well, if you are not insisting on alignment with logic of the WHS, then no.  Try me/us. What do you want from us then?? You are not making sense. You come here and post in an open forum, question a system that is constructed with logic, without using any of your own and then give us a small window of your personal experience to support your narrative which at first sight does not makes sense.  I mean, if you are a point of swearing then I would suggest you cut your losses and humor a more gullible audience elsewhere. Good heavens.
