If get too I'm gonna watch some games later tonight. Car broke down on way home, on side of road waiting for tow. Pretty sure alternator took a crap.

I love march madness.

That sucks.   The VCU Saint Mary's game is very good.

So far, so good! I know it's only the first day but my bracket is still perfect. I've usually had at least one blemish by now! We'll see what the rest of the night brings.

I lost two and they were the Big 10 teams, Minnesota and Maryland.   I don't think the conference will do well this year.   Wisconsin is up early but Michigan and State have touch opening rounds.

Yeah, stuff happens. My car is getting old but still love her. Got her dropped at a shop, call in morning. Left keys in drop box. What really sucks is have 730 tee time. Good news; home course. Bad news: playing as a single so have to walk about a mile, grab cart. Drive back to house load up and drive back. Any big upsets?

No real upsets except for the Big 10,  Maryland and Minnesota.   These were not real big surprises though.   Maryland started strong but hasn't played well as of late and Minnesota has had an up and down season against the Big 10 teams.

I've got Villanova, Gonzaga, N. Carolina and Iowa St in the final 4.   U?

I went 10/12 on my picks the first day, not too bad. My final 4 is Villanova, Gonzaga, UNC, and Louisville. Then I have Gonzaga beating UNC in the championship.

My Badgers have been all over the place this year.  From ranked 7 nationally, to the basement.  They might as well pull something out of their ass and beat Villanova tomorrow....

Not holding my breath though.

I could have been 16-0 yesterday but for Nevada! I guess I reached too far for a second 5-12 upset! I called the Middle Tennessee/Minnesota game.

I'm kind of taking a bit of a beating on day 2, but so far it's not terrible!

That was a hell of a win. Four straight sweet 16's for bucky. It would be great if they could get one more win for this group of seniors. I like what Hayes said after the game.

Basketball is obviously a notch down on my winter sports list, but my bruv and I watched the local school get bounced last night. UD hung with Wichita State and then lost it in the final five minutes. Oh well. Back to work.

The NCAA tournament is the only basketball I really watch.    So many games in just a short time frame.

    • A bit of background. The Southern California Golf Association (SCGA) runs an annual event known as "Team Play." It is a wildly popular match play competition where Men's Clubs across the region put together teams of 20+ golfers together to compete against other clubs in a 16 vs. 16 match. In any given year, approximately 80-100 clubs will participate. Each club is grouped into "pods" of 4, and will play 6 total matches - one home and one away match against the other 3 clubs. The winning club from each pod advances to the Team Play Playoffs - a single elimination format - until a winner is crowned.  Antelope Valley Country Club just advanced to the championship match for the 3rd consecutive year. They won the championship in both 2022 and 2023.  Based on my review of the match history from the past 3 years (linked below), they have won 21 consecutive team matches. Keep in mind, these are handicapped matches, so this is not just a case where a group of sticks bands together to dominate the poor amateurs other SoCal clubs. Even if these guys are grinders who never quit, play their best under pressure and routinely putt the lights out, the law of averages still say that a streak of that nature is mathematically impossible.  Is there any plausible explanation beyond institutionalized sandbagging throughout the club? • Day 3- Practiced putting for 20 minutes.
    • Interesting that Scottie is #10 on the all time money list and he's been on the PGAT for 4 years. Of course, purses are bigger now, but  neat to look at non-the-less.  The list of top 18 money winners in PGA Tour history has plenty of surprises This list is updated through the 2024 RBC Heritage. To add, Scottie won 4.5 million at the Players, Jack played 44 seasons and won a little of 5 million on course.
    • 43 (6 over) Couple bogies, couple Pars, a birdie and no doubles. Not bad for first 9 of the year.
    • Most the stuff I found on Instagram and just copy and mix it up. a few of my favorites: Clean>Squat>Press> March Around the body >catch >Squat> press I also hold a the kettle bell upside down with both hands on the handle. Squat when I stand back up I lift the kettlebell up over and behind my head and hold then repeat
