"5 Minutes Daily" Practice Challenge August 2017

8/30:

50 minutes chipping and putting.

8/30/17:

Putting from the 3-15 foot range with the tee drill. Focusing on read bead and speed. Then I did the clock drill until I made all 12.

Aug. 30

Did hip stretches and back exercises for 20 minutes at home before work.

Did trailing arm rotation drill with light hand dumbell; helped me feel what torso lean angle gave me best balance. Did the same thing with left arm to top, again feeling for best balance angle.

Going to spend some time putting together the new golf mat.  I already missed two days this month so I'm out of the challenge, and I've been fairly tired lately.  I'll practice tomorrow to get back in the habit for September!

Didn't practice much in August, but picking up the practice more seriously from tomorrow.

Putting this morning using the metal yard stick.

 

This completes the August 2017 5 minutes daily practice challenge.

8/31/17:

Hit some 7-iron shots with my three-quarter feeling swing. When I have that thought in my head, you'd be surprised how straight I hit the ball.

This completes my August 2017 Practice Challenge.

153 days and counting. That's got to be a record of some kind for me anyway.

I completed the 5-Minute Challenge for August. I did not miss a single day.

Aug. 31

Practiced short putts (under 10 feet) for 10 minutes on the way home from work. Focused on proper alignment and grip, plus a smooth takeaway.

Did some slow and steady swings.

Spent yesterday at UCLA listening to a string of faculty and staff about all the complexities of Freshman year, then was told by my son they're just trying to scare the parents. It seems like these orientation days for parents are designed to feed the super-parenting frenzy all the way through senior year!
