No, not the mane of the latest LPGA tour winner...

Had 2 of these " used"...not a mark on it.  Had it bent to my Scotty Newport Specs too.

Take a look at Mike Taylor and John Hatfield's Artisan putters. There are good pics on GolfWRX or Google Artisan Golf, Fort Worth, Texas. Remarkable putters. I've handled them and had the tour on how they are made. Really nice! NOT saying that yours aren't; they are beautiful, too. Just sayin' that if the topic is Putter Porn... Regards, -Marv

That's as close to porn as I get Marv.  This old putter in Mint shape is like " internet porn"...free and at a low level.

At WRX, they are millionaires...their level of porn, they pay a lot of money for.?

I got a kick out of this. That's why most all my stuff is old and was used when I got it, unless someone gave it to me. I do love that Ping putter. Friend of mine has one but not polished up like that one. I had one of those old MacGregor putters that were about 8" long that everyone (me) had to have when Nicklaus won the Masters with it. I couldn't win at Putt-Putt with it! Anyway, I don't know pricing on Artisan putters but I've heard very reasonable (whatever that may mean nowadays). Regards and Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours, -Marv

Thanks Marv, hope u and the family have a good holiday as well.

Back in the day I had one of those " Response" putters like Jack had...but not for long.

I have an old Scotty Newport Tei3 that was beat to shiit.  My pro's kid was digging with it in the yard.  I took a scotchbrite to it and it looked passable.  Last year I sent it to BOS golf and they refinished it to the original finish for $100 shipped.

I don't go crazy, like to keep it original.

Man, you never see Bullseye putters anymore.  I remember when I was a caddy they were HUGE.

YEAH I have one but sole stamps are different from @deadon500 's putter. Left of Acushnet, says "John Reuter, Jr." and "STD UP 5 P." And doesn't have the putter outline on the right. My good golf buddy, Jim, keeps asking about it. But it belonged to my long-deceased father-in-law. He couldn't putt with it; neither can I. :-D Regards to all the old putters out there, -Marv

Not what i'd call putter porn, more a case of "you have to be kidding me!". Shopping for xmas gifts and came accross this. I like to call it the Poo-ter. I kid you not, this a legit, legal putter.

Blurb quotes "POOP EMOJI-SHAPED PUTTER is so funny it will make you nearly poop your pants.

  • MORE THAN JUST A NOVELTY ITEM it will roll your ball as smooth as fudge with no skid marks.
  • DON'T DROP A LOAD on an expensive brand name putter when you putting game is going in the crapper.
  • GO NUMBER 2 - Bloop, down the chute in one putt with the Intech #2 Poop Putter.
  • KING OF THE THRONE - Your putting game will no longer stink and you may win a wad of $$$ from your playing partners. "

I'm seeing this putter popping up in forums everywhere lately.

I actually looks like it might be a decent putter.

I was thinking of getting one and whoever 3 putts in our group and to use it until the next person 3 putts, and then they get it etc...

    • Day 11: did mirror work for a while. Worked on the same stuff.
    • I'm not sure you're calculating the number of strokes you would need to give correctly. The way I figure it, a 6.9 index golfer playing from tees that are rated 70.8/126 would have a course handicap of 6. A 20-index golfer playing from tees that are rated 64/106 would have a course handicap of 11. Therefore, based on the example above, assuming this is the same golf course and these index & slope numbers are based on the different tees, you should only have to give 5 strokes (or one stroke on the five most difficult holes if match play) not 6. Regardless, I get your point...the average golfer has no understanding of how the system works and trying to explain it to people, who haven't bothered to read the documentation provided by either the USGA or the R&A, is hopeless. In any case, I think the WHS as it currently is, does the best job possible of leveling the playing field and I think most golfers (obviously, based on the back & forth on this thread, not all golfers) at least comprehend that.
    • Day 115 12-5 Skills work tonight. Mostly just trying to be more aware of the shaft and where it's at. Hit foam golf balls.
    • Day 25 (5 Dec 25) - total rain day, worked on tempo and distance control.
    • Yes it's true in a large sample like a tournament a bunch of 20 handicaps shouldn't get 13 strokes more than you. One of them will have a day and win. But two on one, the 7 handicap is going to cover those 13 strokes the vast majority of the time. 20 handicaps are shit players. With super high variance and a very asymmetrical distribution of scores. Yes they shoot 85 every once in a while. But they shoot 110 way more often. A 7 handicap's equivalent is shooting 74 every once in a while but... 86 way more often?
