Day 60: did a stack session. Also worked on rehearsal backswings while resting during the session.

Day1, Sept. 7th

played 9 holes. Hit some meh shots early easing back into full swings. Hit some solid shots later on. Putting is really bad. I am like +\- 20% on distance control. I still heel the crap out of putts.

Day 87 (07 Sep 23) - Played a solo round today, but with a twist.  I purposely played where I was short going into the greens (even the par 3’s).  Underclubbing does wonders for being short into the green.  The reason was that I wanted to focus on green side pitches with the wedges.  It worked and even though bogie and double were on the table.  Was a great lesson in staying focused on the game.

Day 311, September 7, 2023

• Practiced briefly at Golf Evolution after lessons.
• Played eight holes (the ninth is a par three) at LP.
• Hit the range for a bit there with about 15 drivers. Bombs.
• Taught a few lessons to my Behrend players.
• Hit a few more after all of that. Like… three. All pretty good.

Day 127 - The Stack session

Day 14:

Did stack session after getting home from coaching soccer, a little slower than last session. Then hit some balls with 7-iron using Mevo+, slow-ish swings, around 80-85mph, focusing on start line. Then finished with one full speed swing.

Day 61: range session. Worked on getting my feels up for my upcoming rounds this weekend. I think I’ve got a good one. Results were solid.

Day 80: Sep 7

Matchplay round. I just didn’t play well enough, although my opponent played well - he won, I didn’t lose. Probably my big takeaway is learning how to play under pressure - other sports have you “in the heat of the moment”, whereas golf gives you time to think and provide opportunities for the pressure to build. There’s positives to build on, but it’s a big learning opportunity for me.

Day 62: short game session at the practice range during lunch. Worked on pitches, chips, and a few sand shots.

Day 88 (08 Sep 23) - Played today at Minnesott with son.  Just a laid back round, score was very “meh” - no major moments.  Iron play was very predictable - getting more focused on target lines and having the ball finish pretty much on the planned line.

Practiced a little bit, then played 18 holes with Ryan and Daniel.

Day 128 - Mirror work focusing on left side crunch.

Day 15:

Hit a bunch of balls with 7-iron trying to hit various shot shapes, mostly just for fun, but I did work on fast-slow-fast backswing tempo. Later did a Fit for Golf workout, and then hit 15 balls with 5-iron working on downswing feel.

Day 81: Sep 8

Another round of golf. Less pressure….and lo and behold I hole a bunch of putts. Stupid game! 🤣 My usual takeaway of becoming more accurate remains current, but it’s certainly improving - I’m missing in the right/safer places.

Slowing everything down again, working on the same stuff.

Day 16:

worked on downswing feel with 5-iron, then stack session, then hit 10 almost golf balls with driver, and finished with some pitching

Day 89 (09 Sep 23) - Worked on making ball first contact with irons today.  Used hard foam balls as I was in the back hard.  Worked with 5i and 7i.  Cut it short when the rain showers started up.
