Day 6: yet more drills for the arms.  Also pulled out my PRGR monitor and tried @ 10 swings. Not a speed train session but more of a stress test to see what the foot could handle.

Day 1:

My back yard is finally dry for the most part after a very wet winter (hope we're through the majority of rains). I was able to get outside the last two weekends and do a bunch of yard cleanup and tidying, including setting up my practice area. Bought a Net Return to replace a Spornia net which is completely falling apart (which replaced a Rukket that didn't fair any better). I am looking into new mats as well, as mine is worn out where it matters.

Been practicing intermittently when weather allows, but haven't been able to commit significant amount of time to work on priority pieces from lessons. As a result my golf game is going the wrong direction, so I am going to try to get a practice streak going again.

Today I worked indoors on a backswing piece from my lesson 2 months ago, and then worked outdoors on a palmar flexion transition piece from my lesson last month hitting Almost Golf balls with a 5-iron. Don't have my next lesson scheduled, so plan is to put in 2-3 weeks of work on the current piece before seeing teacher again. Will also get back into The Stack and Fit for Golf starting next week.

Day 47: 4/10/2024:

Got to the range today. Worked on my priority pieces with a 6 iron. Then spent some time trying to hit targets again.

My bag is an ever-changing combination of clubs.

A mix I am forever tinkering with.

Day 106: 4/11/24 Masters First Round

Stack Full Speed Spectrum training session 22/24 for this program.

2 mph shy of my high speed. Had to practice in the garage due to rain. Footing was a little slippery at times. Still had some high swing speeds, but was inconsistent with 195 grams with 7 mph variance in speed.

Day 119 (11 Apr 24) -  Played 18 at Minnesott today - what started off let’s have fun with gusting winds with the threat of rain to gusting winds and steady rain.  As I made the turn on the back nine, I had thought about calling it but stuck it out.  Actually it was a good exercise in persevering, just not something I would do every day.

Day 99 - Was feeling better today, but opted to take it easy to get ready for a tournament Saturday. Made some easy swings into a net; PRGR had my swing speed about where it normally is.

    • Day 191 (09 Nov 24) - After band rehearsal and afternoon yard work, broke out the 8i and hard foam balls to work on low pitches.  Main emphasis was on foot (especially the lead) position, hip rotation and ball position.  Spent time between each shot reflecting on the results of the previous swing. Making small adjustments as needed.
    • Seconding the aimpoint thing. I had a tournament a couple of weeks ago. Had a putt from the fringe about 25 feet. I looked at it and I thought it looked flat, then went to do my aimpoint and I was trying to figure out the left right break, but realized I was on quite a downslope. Turned sideways to do it the other way and estimated about a 3% slope downhill. Basically straight. It was on a green with two tiers and I was all on the top tier. It's a hole that's benched into a slope and I think relative to the slope around me it just looked flat. My feet told me otherwise and I hit that putt like it was six inches and got it to tap in distance. If I had only relied on my eyes I'd have been chipping from off the green (literally - greens were very fast and the hole was only 6-8 feet from the tier. That ball would have gone off the green. When I got in the clubhouse afterwards people were talking about how many putts they had on that green. Combine that with my having four-putted 4 holes earlier (another tier was involved in that one except I had to go down it). I was thanking my lucky stars I did the aimpoint check. Use your feet. It might take you a little while to get used to it, but once you do, it's golden.
    • Agree.  Look at it from the side to determine if it's uphill or downhill. Also, look at the hole and determine the highest point of the hole.  That's the direction of uphill, at least near the hole.
