Day 109- Made some full swings today. Hopefully that means I’m close to 100%, although a particularly painful sneeze has me keeping expectations more realistic.

Day 39. Played my first round, 9 holes at the par 3 course. Positives: didn’t lose a ball (don’t think I’ve managed that before) and had to club down relative to last year despite the lower temperature. Areas of improvement: battling the hooks, but managed to play despite that. Putting was a disaster and distance control needs work.

Might try to spend 10 minutes later working on technique into the net

Day 11:

Spent a little time after kid’s pitching practice hitting balls with 6-iron. Worked on backswing piece while incorporating some flow, and also focused on keeping eyes on ball instead of tracking the club head.

Day 5:  did my drills ahead of playing 9 holes.

i think i was thinking about it too much while playing and basically messed up a lot of shots.  I need to get the muscle memory ingrained.

Day 131 (23 Apr 24) -  Played in monthly church men’s super ball 9 hole event - used a 9 club setup (driver, 5w, 3,5,7,9 irons, PW, SW, putter)…always makes for fun shot making when you’re in between clubs….fun day of course management (and better yet playing golf with my grandson!)

Day 40. In a bit of a mental rut so went back and watched my most recent Evolvr lesson. Focused on the feels there. Lots of fat contact but it felt like I was transferring my weight a bit better.

Finished with a Stack progress check.

    • Day 322: lighter day with some mirror work. Working on the downswing feels to get the hips more open.
    • A flushed towering 152 yard 8-iron that never left the pin to a foot and a half on the 17th hole after a solid drive. The ensuing birdie putt completed our two man team match claw back to even after being four down through 10.  Tied 18th and the match but felt like a win.
    • A gross 6 under for a scramble is not that good. I would buy it. Our gross winning score is usually 17-18 under. First time I've heard of a handicapped scramble.
    • Absolutely. If my skills were reversed and I was a better putter than driver of the ball, I would have made that 8-footer. For double bogey  Mine is completely blind because it goes downhill starting basically right at the corner of the dogleg with the fairway sloping left to right. I know the line to take from experience, but just to give you an idea how it sets up, I hit directly over the two trees that the white line on my screenshot passes over, with a draw. I'm pretty sure my ball landed on the left side of the fairway. The safe way is to just hit it 220 to the corner and leave yourself just under 150 into a pretty large green, but there's very little reason not to be aggressive on this hole.
