Day 39.  A dozen balls hit with good, full swings with an 8-iron, focused on setup, in my practice area.  House guests tell me the noise doesn't travel that much, but they were aware I was hitting golf balls.  Good to know!

Day 289

Just some dry, no ball swings this morning.

Focus was on a one piece take away to the top, and starting my down swing with a left hip movement. As the club head passed through  the impact position, I wanted feel my wrists release, and hear the "swoosh"  sound made by the club head speed.

Did about 20 of these swings using my 6i practice club. Then another 20 using my 2i practice club. In place of a ball, I used tees, just clipping thr tops of them.

In My Bag:
A whole bunch of Tour Edge golf stuff......

DAY 327    Rise and Grind!!  2 hours on the range working on getting more forward shaft lean and my chest more over the ball at impact...... since these two were the areas I need to address next based on my playing lesson last Friday.   So I hit balls off downhill lies, used my Impact Snap, did Pump Drills, ... slow motion drills.   Made some progress, though still a long way to go.     Will work indoors and on my patio after dinner.... to get in more reps.

Day 255 - October 16, 2018 - Spent a good 15 minutes working on my backswing and downswing pieces. I'm still loving the "right palm out" feel. Could do more "braking" but I'm not too dismayed. Today was a good session.

Day 40.  Today being Tuesday, it was putting day.  I got a good 30 minutes in, mostly within 10', after work and before a social engagement.  Real balls at a real grass putting green (my home course's practice area).

Hello guys,

Im new to this, so sorry if Im doing it incorrectly:

Day 1: 30 minutes practicing chips with my A (48°) and my 56° in my backyard.

Day 33:

Range day. Off of mats so instead of wedges as planned I worked on my full swing priority piece...key #4. Established a better posture than as of late and conducted the "pump drill" with my PW and 6 Irons. I would mix in a series of full shots here and there. Hit some really good shots...and some shanks lol. All part of practice I guess.

Day 100! (Never thought I would make it here!)

Time constraints are limiting me to 10 minutes of swings off a mat.  As this is different from my usual work, it makes it seem as if I were not working enough.  Focus was on position of hands on every aspect to the swing.

Day 20

10 minutes working on backswing and top of downswing. Having real trouble keeping the club reasonably in a swing plane as I I tend to drop the club towards the ground and then coming down inside-to-outside.

DAY 328     2 1/2 hours on the range working on improving my forward shaft lean, impact, ...   used Pump Drill, hitting off downhill lies, 9 to 3 Drill, and Impact Snap.    I am making some progress, still a long way to go.   One of the very nice things is that they just introduced hundreds of new golf ball on the range.... sweet!!

    • The term I hear most often is "double teeing" which means the course/club has starting times from both the #1 and #10 tee.  I have encountered this many times and we know if we are the first group off #10, we may well get to #1 and have to wait because there are groups still with tee times yet to tee of #1.  In most instances, where the course/club has a starter, he normally explains this situation.  In this case, the pro advised what you would could/would encounter making the turn to #1.  And, that is exactly what happened.  Probably would have been wise to talk to the pro after playing back 9 and ask when you could go off #1 since apparently that club does not double tee.   Regardless, the outburst towards the other group was uncalled for.  And, I don't blame the member for being upset.  As a member of a private club, you are responsible for the actions of your guest.  I have played many times as a guest in the UK and I am pretty damn sure my host was responsible for my actions while at the club.  I know at the clubs I have belonged to here in the US, that is the way it is.  As a matter of fact, the member may find himself being brought before management and facing possible suspension.  So, I don't blame him for being upset.  However, as the host, he really should have stepped up and put a stop to the OP's actions.  OP makes this statement "I now understand that standards are different on the "private course." But I'll take those lessons to the muni, too."  No, the standards are not different.  You, sir, seem to be just a bit hard headed and belligerent, even if you are college professor...which possibly explains a lot.   JMHO
    • Day 32: worked for about 10 minutes on my drill. Filmed it as well for a check in. I think it’s slightly better but still seeing some issues.
    • Day 44 (26 Dec 25)  -  played in the Friday men’s shootout with a twist - used the Toney Penna persimmons and MacGregor blades - had a blast playing these clubs.  They really help in zoning in on making solid ball contact.  Scoring was solid - had several looks at birdie and had a few par saves.  Overall a day of focused course management.
    • Day 2: 2025.12.27 Eighteen holes at Kauri Cliffs. Focusing on trying to keep flex in right leg during backswing.
    • Day 136 12-26 Had a different practice planned today but life happened. Worked on "wide to wide" and still working on remaining flowy. Starting the club head in front of the ball as a drill, is helping with the flow of the swing.
