Lovely drive by Tiger.

Well Jim, that long putt for par will make up for some misses earlier.

And his second shot?  If you're trying to be annoying, you're being successful.  A little goes a long way.

Just saw the list of future U.S. Opens and surprised Chambers Bay isn't selected.  Pebble Beach and this course get played twice - spread it around a little.

I posted it before his second shot and was unable to post about his then-unknown second shot.  I'm sorry for annoying you with my lack of prescience.

Hmmm... announcers talking about how putting and chipping are more important than full swing and that's how you separate yourself from other touring pros.  Maybe that belief contributed to them being in the booth instead of on the course.

DJ is stalking around the course like a panther, knowing he owns it. Playing under par, smashing drives straight & long, easily hitting greens, making putts. He's the #1 total badass on tour right now and he's looking to add another major to his resume.

Carry on my wayward drive

There'll be pars when you are done

Lay your weary wedge to rest

Don't you shank no more

This statistic needs to be tracked more closely.  I wonder what the history of the ranking is. ;-)

Wouldn’t surprise me to see this lead be 4 or 5 shots by end of day. Not sure I see Poulter or Piercy hanging around. Rose might be the one guy who can challenge DJ that I see. Other than that I just don’t foresee DJ coming back much. But hope I’m wrong in that because I’d like to see some drama.

Great third by Cabrella-Bello on #18. Intimidating shot.  So scary to hit up that hill.

Dustin has that same goofy smile I have when I get away with something on the course or hit a good drive.  Except mine is a surprise his is ... I don't know, gratitude?  Makes a putt over 45' at the U.S. Open... for birdie... when he's already in the lead.

Wow!  That putt took a long time to get there.  The way the course is playing, that's a gift.

I still don't understand why these style greens are called fast when the ball travels so slowly along them.

This thing may be over.

I'm guessing not.  This course simply has catastrophe in too many places.  I think this morning's groups caught a little break in course conditions.  The afternoon groups may not be able to hold greens and they will likely start drying out.

Doubt it.  But he can do something the rest of mankind can’t.
