Nice to see Woods keeping to his normal  Ryder Cup form ... but hope that some USA  players give us a bit of a contest

Europe is going to need at least a 2 point lead going into singles. Top to bottom in singles they don’t match up well with the US

The good news is the US has kept these matches close on the front. They’ve fared pretty well on the back but were too far back in most matches for it to matter by tgen

Webb Simpson a more straight hitter and came into Ryder Cup in some of the best form among player. Probably should have been playing a lot more than just two matches. Was a little off yesterday, although Bubba was more off.....but he is playing really well today.

Boy US is playing incredibly stupid. Horrible course management. Everyone trying to be a hero instead of just playing smart. We’re gonna get schooled badly.

Tiger and SLIG are working on a comeback. Still enough holes to do it on.

Three out of the five holes Moliwood's won has been off US bogies. If they make par at worst and a few birdies, anything can happen.

Why does Tiger look like he would rather be on a beach somewhere ?

Because he's looking to be 0-3 for the RC after today.

I've been listening to the UK broadcast and it's really enjoyable. Nice relaxed crew, praising good play on both sides, a few witty ones here and there, but not trying to force anything. Like a bunch of guys just watching golf and chatting.

I think I saw an info graphic that no pairing has gone 4-0 in the RC before. Well done, Molinari and Fleetwood.

Justin Thomas was lights out today. Without him it might have been 11-5 or 12-4

Ehh, without his partner Spieth he would have been nowhere.

Yep, that seems correct.

Now we just wait for tomorrow's pairings. When will we see Reed or Phil?

Good showings today by Thomas, Spieth and Webb. Bubba played decent. The rest of the team just didn't really show up. Finau, Reed and DeChambeau have been a major disappointment and I just don't think DJ and Koepka have the fire in them like the Euros do.

As for Tiger, you knew it wasn't going to be easy for him this week coming off such an emotional week last week. It would have been nice if partners gave him some help, but Reed/Bryson played like dog crap.

    • Yeah, negative PCC days are more likely to be counted in the best 8, but the PCC decreases the downward impact of these scores, as it increases your posted differential.  As for the conditions, it really is funny how the scores posted don't always reflect what seem like tough conditions.   Its clear that you thrive in difficult conditions.
    • I guess someone decided to do more work for little benefit then.  I might be the lucky one then. I have a +3 and a +1 on my counted scores.
    • I've only seen one positive PCC since it began, a +3 during a tournament on a tough, firm course with the wind blowing at least 30 mph. A scratch golfer got so frustrated he pulled out after 9. Sadly, the +3 did nothing for me as I was a good 10-12 strokes above the score counting. Currently 3 of my last 7 scores have a negative PCC. Of course, all 3 of those are in my best eight. I'm puzzled, as the wind was blowing pretty good on at least two of those rounds.
    • It changed to the best 8 of the last 20, in the 2020 changes.  When I attended a Handicapping Workshop in 2020, we were told that they anticipated that the PCC would apply in about 10% of the rounds.  That's about what I see now, maybe slightly more often since the algorithm was tweaked not long ago.  And remember, the PCC will adjust MOST of the scores on a given day towards the mean.  With a positive PCC (more high scores), most players scores wouldn't be in the best 8/20 even with the PCC, so the impact is nothing, although the few players who had a good day will see the impact on their HI increased.   I believe it will be very rare that a player has even two scores in their best 8 with any kind of PCC.
    • There was a PCC of +3 at Talamore the day I played in Pinehurst! Somehow that course was killing us all, lol.  If it is still the best 10 out of 20, So, it would amount to .1. It matters more if you end up with like 5 out of 10 of your counted differentials having PCC. That could equal a full stroke.  Yea, I think it will influence handicaps like 0 to let's say 2 for handicaps.
