Rudy looked like a dirty old man in the clips I've seen from the latest Borat movie. This guy has gone from "America's Mayor" to a raving lunatic. He seems to be losing his mind.

Steel vs. Graphite Shaft Questions
Sandy Divot replied to rdoty's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
Mizuno has a lot of shaft choices with no upcharge. I switched from steel to graphite due to some arthritis in my hands. I was able to find a stiff shaft that was close in weight to lightweight steel shafts. I don't know how you feel about adding another club to your consideration, it would give you more shaft options. -

I have a Titleist Aussie hat, and an Imperial hat that I got at Pinehurst.

Sorry for your loss. About 3.5 years ago, I had surgery for prostate cancer, and have been cancer free since. Despite playing, and walking five days a week, I had a heart attack just over two years ago. I try to enjoy every day, and every round. My father turns 93 on Wednesday, and he still plays 9 holes three times per week. He plays for a quarter a hole, and you would think he was playing for the US Open. He still likes to win.

Shaft Spine Alignment Question
Sandy Divot replied to Ted12345's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
If aligning the spine isn't that important, what could the reason for crooked shots possibly be? -
I really hope they play. This tournament is different from most we see, and I really look forward to it.

Getting Fitted, Iron Suggestions?
Sandy Divot replied to Lugowskins's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
I have been a Ping iron player since 1986 until about 2 years ago. I had a pro recommend switching to graphite to reduce wear and tear on my body. I chose 919 Hot Metals because the price was the same for steel or graphite shafts. Also, I liked the Recoil 95s more than the Ping stock graphite, and there was no upcharge. I think Ping wanted $30 per club for the Recoils. -

They use them in practice rounds, and I guarantee they have an extra battery.- 87 replies

My wife and I are both scheduled to get our second shot this week. It's very exciting to think we might be able to visit relatives that have also been vaccinated. I tend to be an optimistic person, so it looks like there might just be a little light at the end of the tunnel.

I played the other day as a walker with 3 guys in individual carts. That was too much golf!

Hopefully, he can put four good rounds together,

USGA/R&A Distance Insights Project (Updated Feb. 2021)
Sandy Divot replied to iacas's topic in Golf Talk
I am not sure if they have said anything, but I would be very interested to hear what the PGA of America has to say about all this. They have always been in better contact with golf at the club level, and I wouldn’t be surprised if they had a vastly different opinion than the USGA. -
What Driver Will I Be Purchasing?
Sandy Divot replied to Billy Z's topic in Balls, Carts/Bags, Apparel, Gear, Etc.
I played with a guy today that was using the Ping G425, and he hit it pretty well, but I didn't like the sound. Seemed kind of loud. -
USGA/R&A Distance Insights Project (Updated Feb. 2021)
Sandy Divot replied to iacas's topic in Golf Talk
I walked about 6ft away from down the entire left side of #10 at Augusta while he was walking to # 11 to begin a suspended round. I'm only 5'9'' and he was, at least, several inches taller than me. -

Speaking of Rory's reputation Vs. Reed's , and the thinking that Reed has had a checkered past, so that must mean that he will continue to cheat, Gary Player has a few rather questionable rules things in his past, yet he is seen as a paragon of virtue.

Maybe I’m just oblivious, but it doesn’t seem too different to me. That Lillie leaderboard is ok, but no big deal.

I remember when Eye 2s were kind of considered a gimmick club. I remember the first tournament I ever went to was the 1985 Heritage, and a lot of guys carried Ping 1 or 2 irons, but I really can't remember seeing anyone with a full set. The old blade guys thought they were the ugliest things they ever saw, and would never consider putting them in their bags.

After the way he played, he was probably frustrated that it didn’t break.

I'll wait, and see.

Bridgestone's New Dimples (e12 Contact)
Sandy Divot replied to iacas's topic in Balls, Carts/Bags, Apparel, Gear, Etc.
What model ball will have these dimples? -
The only issue I see with individual carts is that means twice as many wheels on the course.
