Oh and what is the deal with cookies and Chrome?  I mean I can't login to this site to post.  Had to load up IE and do it.  Does that suck or what?

Hmmm, that's strange. I use Chrome at work and have not had any issues. Not sure what's going on. (Use Safari on my phone or Mac at home the rest of the time)

Hey Guys!

I'm Jason - nephew of Mitch just checking in with you all!  Mitch let me borrow the 'Lowest Score Wins' and it was a great read !

Excited to poke around here a bit and be part of the community - thanks guys!!

Little bit about me - stepped foot on a golf course in the summer of 2014 - and have been hooked ever since!  Total gearhead, and spending money on stuff when I should be really spending money on lessons.  But I digress...lessons don't look nearly as shiny sitting in the golf bag ;)

Welcome both of you!  I don't think that there is any more info Tristan needs at this point.  When it gets closer, he'll put together some teams for a fun little competition, and for that he'll need handicaps (or best estimate) but nothing for now.

I just heard back from the course and we basically have two options. Unlike in our previous outings, they will not allow us to reserve our time and then pay individually when we arrive. What they require to hold our spot is 20% now and then the total amount 14 days in advance which would be this coming Sunday. In order for this to work, I'd need everybody to PayPal me their $74 by Friday so I can reserve our spot. If we don't do that, then I could call 7 days in advance and make the tee time and we would pay individually. The only thing with that is that we would pay whatever their current rate is (I think it's the same, but it could change) and we run the risk of not getting 3 foursomes back to back to back. Keep in mind that it is a holiday weekend.

IMO, the best option is to reserve the time now; let me know.

I'll do whatever...though I never use PayPal so I'll have to figure that out.

you realize paypal will knock off 3% off the payment as a service fee?  You cool with that? But if that is the case Paypal is ok with me.

Will it do that for person to person non-commercial (Tristan isn't selling anything) transactions?

They is no service fee for person-to-person transactions.

Looks like it depends on how you pay.  It told me that if you go through your bank account or have a paypal balance, then there is no fee.  I rarely use paypal, and therefore, when I do, I just charge it, and for charging it, it does have a service fee, in this case, of $2.45.

But $2.45 is a small amount to pay for Tristan to handle all the details for us.

Thanks Tristan!!!
