What is the longest par 3 that you have played?

Mine is a 245 yard par 3 hole #5 at Hamlet Wind Watch which thankfully was playing slightly downwind. OB Left and water hazard right doesn't make the hole easier.

I don't understand a par 3 where you need to hit a 3 wood or driver...

Longest I play is a 234 yard par 3 that plays downhill and generally with the wind.

Well the one I play a lot is 240ish down hill. I am sure I have played longer par 3's though but can't think off hand. Actually that is 240 down hill but usually into the wind. I nail a 3 wood to the front edge usually. (when wind is normal in to face, which is normal for me as I play in afternoon) But you get no roll if you hit short, as there is a little swale in front of the green. If you carry the green I think you are gonna hit and then go over where it runs into a hazard.

I saw in the other "Par" thread something about par 3's being up to 250 yards according to some guideline by the USGA. Is that not correct? I can't imagine 250+ par 3's unless its severe downhill or way above sea level. We don't have much of either scenarios in my area so my mistake. Too late to add in so I guess you'll be in the 240-250.

There's a 233 yarder I play often (Rancho Solano), but the longest *playing* hole is definitely the 208 yard 17th at Tony Lema (Monarch Bay) in the afternoon when the insane bay wind is slamming you in the face. I've played that hole from the whites (178 yards) without being able to reach with a driver...or even come close.

Longest one i play is 225 slightly down hill. I couldn't imagine playing a 250 yard par 3. It would take everything i had in a 3 wood.

Longest par three is Number 2 at Henry County Country Club. It is around 250 from the back tees. It really looks more like a par 4 but then the course has a bunch of easy 4s so it evens its self out. Also number 11 at Sharron woods is 235 straight up a hill and plays just as long. Both are parable.

But I won "Closest to the Hole" there once in a tournament,... yeah, I hit driver, hard as I could,...

The longest is a 230 yard par 3 at Lost Brook. Small executive course. The hole has two bunkers infront of the green and a narrow fairway with a raised green that if you go over you have to chip up a 12ft hill to get back on.

Longest playing hole i played was a Par4 at Onset Point CC. It was 450 yds only the first 300yds went about 300yds uphill as well. Then it took a 90* turn and another 150yds down to the tiny sliver of a green. That was a 8+ shot hole for me lol and I still beat my friends haha.

Longest par 3 I've ever played that I can remember is the 12th hole at Greenview in Centralia, IL. 205 yards and it takes everything ive got with my 3 hybrid to get there, have never hit the green and best score I've ever gotten is bogey and usually happy to get that. Also the 18th hole at Eldorado, IL is about the same distance, 203 yards in fact and ive made bogey every time ive played that hole, I play there maybe 3-4 times a year. Eldorado also has the longest hole of any kind ive ever played, the 17th is a 562 yard par 5(580 yards from the longest tees) that seems even longer, i was happy just to have a putt for par the last time there and ended up making bogey on that hole as well.

The city of Indio has a 18-hole par three course with a 240 yd hole (number 4).

A typical par-three hole is less than 250 yards (225 metres) in length, with a par-four hole ranging between 251 and 475 yards (225–434 metres), and a par-five hole being longer than 475 yards (435 metres). Although uncommon, par-six and even par-seven holes do exist and can stretch well over 650 yards (595 metres).

265 yards---the 8th hole at Paa Ko, New Mexico. The air is thin at 7,000 feet and elevated tee 100 feet but it still requires a good stroke.
