CSH is a smallish and perhaps a bit quirky course just barely over the MA/NH border. Listed yardage from the back is 6250 yards and from the front 5750 yards. On paper should be a really...
Love the putter, it has great roll, its balanced throughout the stroke, and is forgiving from left to right on the face. It does take some getting used to, but once your used to it get ready to...
Gor a free sleeve and was VERY impressed with the feel and distance of these balls. The only con for me is the alignemnt lins on the ball, which I generally do not use. I prefer a ball with...

Went and played Tierra this past saturday (5/11/13). Had a great time. Wonderful views from all over the course! It was certainly a challenge, but not so much that it took away form the...
I use to keep a 5 wood in the bag. After 1.5 seasons and about 5 shots with it I took it out of the bag and made room for an extra wedge. If you have clubs you are not using in your bag it really does make sense to take them out of play and put something in its place that will be more useful to your game.
54 Degree Vokey. Use it at a SW out of the sand effectively, but it's very tough for me to his this from the fairway for some reason. Thinking about replacing it with a sw that matches my iron set. As I hit the TM Burner Plus PW and AW well. We'll see as I play a few more rounds.
I have a Callaway FT-I 3W. It's a "squareway" wood.... I've only hit one good shot with it, and I've had it for 2 years... I think it sucks.
Can't think of any use for it... Especially off the fairway!
Then why have it in the bag? I have a number of clubs which I either don't hit well, or don't care to spend the additional practice time to be proficient with (I don't carry a LW for that reason). They all live in my garage. The clubs in my bag I do use. For most rounds on my home course I will use every club in the bag at least once.
Until recently I had a 60° wedge in there that I used once or twice every few rounds and should have used less than that. I've swapped it for my old 5W which I'd forgotten about.
I use most of the clubs in my bag occasionally. Probably the 5I the least, because the 6I is sort of my "break-even" club in terms of distance plus control. If I have a longer shot than that, I usually want the extra distance of the 4I (or longer) because I'm not playing for a target. Still I probably use it every other round or so.
I barely use my LW. In fact, most of the time that I even consider using it, I decide instead to hit a shot with my 56 and open the face. Those shots tend to come out better than the ones with the LW itself.
I've considered removing it from the bag and putting a 4I back in. Either the one with my set (which will involve a re-shafting, since it has the old shaft in it), or I'm thinking of getting a GI 4-iron (assuming I can find one without much offset ; and then, maybe replacing my 5- with one, too) to transition from hybrids to irons. I also hit my 4H about 15-20 yards past my 5I, so I probably should bridge that gap.
I hardly ever use my 60* but I keep it in the bag because there are situations that call for it. The reason I don't take it out is I never found another club that was worthy of replacing my 60*.
If you play at only one course, you will develop a certain routine and favourite landing areas, from which several clubs might well be used very little.
I use a carrying bag, so if I can play using 11 or 12 clubs, I will do so.
If theres a club that I never use, it gets taken out of the bag in favor of a club that I would actually use. Why waste a spot in your bag for something you dont use?
I haven't had a 60* wedge in the bag for at least a year. In that 60-70 yard range, I'm better and more consistent taking some off of a 56. Around the greens, I've been fine opening up my 56 if needed. I pulled the 60 to put a 3-iron back in the bag. It's windy here and the 3 is handy hitting low punches.
I'm pretty good about filtering my bag. I currently use 13 clubs ever since the 3 iron came out of the bag. The 3 iron goes back in for some courses but usually stays home. The 60° wedge got the boot middle of last season since I always tried some hero shot that either ended up really good or really bad. I just manage the course to try and not put myself where I'd need the 60. All other clubs see regular use or else they would've gotten the boot already.
I think last season I hit my 4 iron once or twice the most. There are not that many par 3's in the 210-215 yards out here and I can get away by chocking down on the 3i most of the times. For most of the courses I play, I took it out and replace it with a 56 wedge. Although this year I'm starting to play a 21* hybrid instead of my 3i and I'm putting the 4i back in play for those moments that I have a long shot that I have to shape. So the 56 is going to be in the garage most likely.
