When I know I'm playing only 18holes in a day I've been walking lately. Yesterday I went with boxers and they kept riding up. The fact that my pants keep falling down because I forgot a belt maybe played part in this. But I was kind of uncomfortable all day in the boxers. Today I went with boxer briefs and forgot that I had underwear on at all. They really worked out nicely.

I'm torn though.

I've recently switched to boxer briefs (from boxers) for rounds (I walk most of the time).  I also put some powder in them for hot days.  I'm still on boxers most of the rest of the time, although as they go into disrepair, my new pairs will likely be of the boxer brief variety.

I always walk.  Boxer briefs this time of year and briefs when the weather gets warmer up hear in Pennsylvania.   'Champion'  makes the best "sweat wicking"  underwear.

Commando with some J&J Baby Powder

Could very well be one of the creepiest threads ever... and I still voted.

Switched from briefs to boxer briefs about 20 years ago. Never did like boxer boxers - the seam is in the wrong place. Maybe if my anus was off to the side they'd be okay.

I agree, Champion are the best, I like the longer version, too.

Under Armour Compression Shorts.  They will change your life.  Trust me on this.

Boxer briefs all day every day for everything.

Boxer-briefs or commando - when I'm trying to "swing free and easy".

You should get that looked at by your doctor.

Commando, FTW

Need an option for "Other". For every other sport I've ever played, I've worn Easton/Nike/Under Armor base layer/compression shorts. Some are thicker than others and designed for colder weather as opposed to hot weather. The Nike ones for example are made of the Dri-FIT material and they breathe really nicely, and give a good bit of support. Cottom boxer briefs get soaked on a hot day from sweat, but these stay pretty dry, and dont ride up your junk either.

For golf I wear regular boxer-briefs, but I do wear compression shorts for other sports. Just not for golf.

These come in handy when teaching sometimes.

Or when playing hockey.

What are compression shorts and why will they change my life?

I'm certainly willing to look into them, especially as warmer weather approaches.

Something like this - http://store.nike.com/us/en_us/?#l=shop,pdp,ctr-inline/cid-1/pid-224516/pgid-224518

Basically short tights (think boxer briefs kinda), made usually of a Dri-FIT-like material.
