They take them home and throw them in the wash machine, then hang them up in the closet.

No, it's a good question - it seems like Tiger never wears the same shirt twice... What happens t all the shirts after he wears them?

What makes you think he doesn't wear the same shirt twice?

Even if that is the case, which I doubt (he wears clothes on days he doesn't golf too), I don't know that Tiger is representative of the average tour pro.

I imagine some clothes are donated, really doubt that they put on a brand new shirt and pair of pants every day of their lives......

I guess I could be wrong, but someone's gonna have to convince me.

I have seen numerous tour players wear the same shirt. Or at least, what appeared to me to be the EXACT same style and color of shirt. Some guys have the money to spend on new threads every day. Crazy to most of us, but some legitimately can afford that. Whether they do or don't... Can't say. Probably varies. As for what is done with the clothes.. I think obviously those who don't wear new stuff every week probably do exactly what I do with my golf clothes. Wash and re-wear them! As for the others, if they exist.. Probably thier stuff goes in one of three piles: 1) Hang up and possibly re-wear. 2) Donate for memorabilia/promotional purposes. (Far less of this on the PGA tour than the MLB, NFL, etc. I'm willing to bet) 3) TST FANBOY PANTY SNIFFER PILE. :p

You forget, I watch Tiger a lot... I would tuck him into bed and read him stories if he'd let me... That being said, I'm pretty sure he wears the pants several times, but the shirts look unique every week, atlleast to me. And of course Tiger isn't representative of the rest of the tour population.

I doubt that Tiger wears even the same pants twice and all of his outfits are planned out - below was the approved plan for the 2012 US Open.  I'm sure some guys just get 4 shirts a week and that's it, but for a guy like Tiger and Phil, I would guess that they get shipped 4 packs of outfits each week and if they need to add cold weather or rain gear, they just have stock stuff that they have with them.

I'm sure Nike doesn't want to see Tiger wearing a laundered shirt when he's on national television representing their brand.  I'd guess the top guys like Tiger, Phil, Rory, Rickie get new clothes shipped each tournament.  The used ones probably get donated to charity or given to corporate execs.

The real question is, do they get new golf shoes shipped in for every tournament?

hmmmm...I love getting new shoes, but they need to be broken in. I'm sure tiger doesn't risk getting a blister in the middle of a major, he probably breaks then in on his practice rounds or on the range or something...

I think it depends on the visibility and marketing behind the player. Despite all of them being walking billboards safe to assume some wear clothes more than once and others don't because their high powered endorser wants them to display as much of their product as possible. Some of those guys look pretty shoddy. I'm certain some of the logos I've seen are iron-on patches. Others are dressed to the nines week in and out.

    • Agree. The next omission needs to be that ridiculous team concept. Nobody cares about a team when they really don’t represent anything except being a group of diminished morality and/or washed up pro golfers. Or wait, we’ve also got total nobodies who’ve accomplished nothing who now get a participation trophy! Doesn’t that sound invigorating!
    • LIV moving to 72 holes is a subtle admission that 54 holes was nothing but a joke all along.
    • I was going to start a thread, but this seems like the place.  Yesterday I played my matchplay match at my local club.  My opponent is a notorious sandbagger by reputation.  The pro once pulled his tournament rounds from the past several years and said that it is impossible his tournament rounds are legit based on his handicap. here is what happened last night.  I am getting 4 shots from him.  His current handicap index is 15.3 i shot 45 on the front.   Was down 4 after nine, he had three birdies and shot even par. I was closed out on thirteen, we halved with a bogey.  That bogey put him one over par for his round.   He then took a triple on 14 and then left. As if that wasn’t bad enough, he lied about his score.   I wrote down on my scorecard what the score was.  He put higher values that didn’t affect the outcome of the match to pad his score and apparently make it not look as obvious.   He shot 36 on the front, but claimed 40.  The higher values for his score were in the online scoring app our club uses.  He did it this way: I won #7. He had a 2 foot putt for par that if he made would still lose the hole.   He picked up and said it didn’t matter since I won.  He took a 5 instead of a 4 after picking up a gimme. on #8 his approach shot on this par 4 was 8 inches.  I verbally conceded the putt but I had hit into a hazard.  I finished the hole with a 6.  Instead of birdie he put in for par. on #9, another par 4, his approach was to 18 inches.  I missed my par putt and then knowing how close I verbally conceded the putt.  I missed my bogey putt, he never conceded mine.  Instead of birdie he put down a bogey. He padded his score by 4 shots on the front.  And then did again on 10.  I rinsed one and made 6 on a par 4.  I putted out and he was fishing balls out of the lake so I drove off to the next tee.  He had 15 feet laying two but claimed a 5.     love to know the odds of a 15 handicap being even thru 12 holes on a round of golf.
