Left Hand Players are abandoned !

Lefties are the devil's spawn!

As i was surfing among the different brands of club maker, i discovered

that most of them no longer provide left hand players clubs on their forged irons series. (no Xmas clubs this year lol)

It is very sad and disappointing that good left and players are reduced to almost no choice in the market.

Are lefties so ridiculous in terms of numbers that club makers consider this market as a really marginalized amount of money?

So i was wondering how many lefties are we?

In my club for example we have only 6 or 7 lefties among 275-300 players.

What is really the % of left hand players ?

Why most of the teachers i met as a beginner tried to turn me into a right player ?

For example Mizuno, only one leftie serie, Titleist also. (on blades).

Miura, Nike the same... and so on.

I had no idea on this (Righty here).

at least on the Mizuno site only the MP-54 and the JPX 850 are lefty optioned - that's it

I thing you are "right" it is maybe more convenient for teachers to turn everybody into righties, but Golf is such a mix between mechanics, rhythm, accuracy, precision, confidence and analysis, that i personally think they make a big mistake doing this....

They maybe "cut" lot of natural skills from their students...

Anyway, Bubba, Weir, Phil and a few other are here to save the day... maybe one day the % of lefties will be significant enough for brands, to consider a bit more the "evil" players... :o)

I am a firm believer that "Lefties Have Rights Too".  I am also of the belief that it is not such a bad  thing for a left handed person to play with right handed clubs. When a lefty plays with right handed clubs, the dominant arm is in a better position than when I right handed person plays with right handed clubs. As a right handed golfer, I had to learn (old school?) to not to let my stronger right,  arm/hand dominate the swing.

I can also play left handed to some degree. Many years ago I found a set of left handed irons at a second hand store. I play, on average, about 5 strokes worse than I do when playing right handed.

My son and I are lefties, but I started out right handed.

Look at Callaway Apex MB. It's the only lefty MB club on the market.

Yeah, this is all I could find. I'm so lucky to have the MP-32 in lefty.

It is much more natural to swing left handed for me even though I practiced right handed for a year and a half or more before switching to lefty. It only took me a month or two to adjust. Same for my son.

Not sure what it is, but it is a lot easier for me to turn clockwise (looking down) than the other way around. This was the main benefit for me switching to lefty. I am ambidextrous in everything because I was forced as a child to use my right hand, but I am naturally left handed in every aspect. What could take me 2 years to learn right handed comes naturally left handed.

There is not only, as i mentioned before, the bio-mechanic aspect, the way to organize and construct a shot is very different from right to left brain... we are really all newbies int the decoding of brain structures, but it is already established (dig on google) that we do not "feel" or see, and use the same part of the brain, from a right to left (whatever activity) person. So imagine under pressure the big difference it makes :o)

I'm sure there is a lot of difference. If I am using my right hand I do think a little bit differently than when using my left hand. Curious, now. Thanks for some insight.

I'll need to google a few things on ambidexterity. Maybe I can fix my short game with this knowledge.

Looks like I'm in the 1% for writing anyway, I write equally bad left or right handed.
