FTFY.

In Vinsk's Post #104 Vinsk quoted me. What they did was erase my quote and enter something I did not say. Vinsk wrote in my quote this,"but they do not have the ignorance"

I search the whole thread and no where could I find I said that, if I said that point out the post number. That's a pretty low thing to do Vinsk

Nope, no news for me. I just wait for the town crier to shot out anything important going on.

This is off topic, but there actually isn't a working tv in my house. The last time I had a working tv was February of 2011. Then I gave my tv to my sister. Never got around to replacing it.

… Actually that isn't really off topic. It does explain why I do watch less LPGA than I used to.

I have never said do not show the leaderboard players,

What I did say is also show some fan favorite players even if they are not playing well. They do this on the PGA why not the LPGA. If they did I would watch more LPGA and I feel others might watch the LPGA more.

To all that are bashing me, I have a thick skin so your bashing does not bother me. I respect your opinion you should do the same.

Vinsk I reported your #104 post.

You used a quote of mine, erased what I wrote and entered something I did not say"but they do not have the ignorance".

What was the purpose of that?

Guess what? You are racist. And sexist. And a chauvinist. And of course you'll deny it. You want to see more pros like Gulbis, ( I mean "Natalie") who routinely occupied the lower half of the missed cut line rather than the sensationally good Asian players. WTF has the geneology of your wife or stepsoin got to do with anything?

You don't want to see the best players, you want to see the best players that are not "foreign".

Another thing, believe it or not, is that the policies are not going to change because of your peculiar viewing preferences. Maybe you need to become a golf fan.

And yes... things do get ugly in a hurry when you expose your prejudices so willingly.

I find that people who like to label people like to be bullies (feel labelled yourself now...lol). It is perhaps ironic that it is harder to have a debate with a liberal than a conservative person...lol

They do this all the time on the LPGA tour coverage. You’re just complaining because they don’t show your favorite players.

Unlike the PGA tour, the LPGA tour is somewhat lacking for needle movers.

That's an interesting observation. Thing is, racists don't like to be called racists, so it's hard to "debate" them.

Someone who thinks Asian golfers shouldn't be playing on the LPGATour and that the physical types he is attracted to should be given preference is also an interesting topic for deabte that isn't going to win me over. Sorry.

The OP made his position pretty clear.

I am guessing that you think that an employer who employs women can't be sexist. Feel free to move on....

The Decline of the LPGA

I found the above 2011 thread from another forum and read several post that more or less agree with what I am saying.

The threads 9th post says the following, so if you quote it in a post it is not my words.

Some of the comments on these pages could represent a lot of the American viewing public who are not really interested in Golf which may explain why the LET is slowly growing.
"Sex sells and the LPGA isn't sexy. When I choose to watch the LPGA I want to see Natalie Gulbis, Paula Creamer, Morgan Pressel, Sandra Gal etc, hopefully you get my drift. I don't and can't watch fat girls dressed like boys. It's creepy."
"Get a clue LPGA, you've got a predominantly international lineup touring the states. If you want american fans to go to or watch the games on TV, if you want to build an american fan base to get american sponsors then field a predominantly american lineup, regardless of who the top players are.

Time to move along.

You’re now citing someone else citing anonymous comments from a 2011 Golf Digest article about Carolyn Bivens.

In my experience, its difficult to have a debate with anyone whose certainty in his own opinions goes beyond his understanding of facts to back him up.  I've had the same difficulties with conservatives as I have with liberals.

They do this on the LPGA too, they show popular players who are still relevant, no matter whether they're in the lead or not.  Lexi gets screen time, she's in the top 10, but Stacy Lewis at No 98 in the world just isn't relevant.  Look at that level of players in the men's game, and see how much air time they get when they're not near the top.  Jim Furyk, #79, might have a shot or two shown, no more. Charles Howell III, at #69, ever notice him when he's not near the lead?  JB Holmes, #94?  No, Tiger is one of the few, and he's back inside the top 10, he's always relevant.  TV isn't showing Michelle Wie or Natalie Gulbis, both of whom you've mentioned repeatedly, because they're NOT PLAYING ANY MORE.

Yah, I'm kind of losing the forest in all of these trees.

Personally, I like the LPGA. I also like the PGA. I also liked shows like The Big Break.... I'm not sure if that's still on. Although, I will say that the big break used to be kind of annoying when it would get into all the personal stuff and the house life things. I personally wanted to see them break plate glass and have interesting skills competition.

So there were some ignorant opinions in 2011, thanks for enlightening me.

I really enjoy watching the LPGA tour regardless of who is being shown, and it's professional golf, not the lingerie football league so who cares what they wear/look like.

As a cord-cutter, it bums me out that televised LPGA events are rarely broadcast over the air.

I think this is a really good point. The LPGA kinda peaked with Anika Sorenstam near the end of her run and with Michelle Wie kind of near the beginning of hers. Natalie Gulbis was relevant when she was sinking long putts during the Solheim Cup, but that was 2005.

Every sport kind of goes through this. There will be a crop of stars the fans are really interested in, then they will age and fade away and the sport needs "new" stars to "save" the sport. I mean this has happened in The NFL, the NBA (like 20 times), Nascar (although they are still working on the new crop), Men's tennis has had this happen over and over. I remember when they said nobody will ever fill the void left by the Connors/McEnroe days. Right now, Boxing would kill to have a handful of stars that the public really gives a crud about. The PGA tour will always have a void left in the wake of Tiger. The LPGA probably got some "Tiger over-flow" as well. During his run golf in general was uber-popular.

Give it time. I think it will bounce back. These things tend to ebb and flow.

I would love if the ladies only showed the physical types I'm attracted to.  And they have to play well.  And interview well.

But, sadly, that's not how the world works.....

Best to just enjoy the sport, it's much simpler.

When some do not have a appropriate reply they fall back on their crutch playing the race card, that's sad.

Someone's putting words into my mouth again. I never said Asians shouldn't play the LPGA. What I said was I'm not gona watch the LPGA when all they show is Asians players, I want to at least see some fan favorite players even if they are not playing well. That's what the PGA does.

It gets old reading post where other twists my words.

So its ok with the moderator for someone to click quote, then remove the quote and write in what ever they want. That way when others read the quote, they'll think the person wrote that when they didn't.

That's no way to run a forum
