Hi

I love talking about John Daly, and so does everybody else-so in all fairness he can't be that much of a waste of space.

Since when has JD ever had a coach?-i can't recall him ever having one. I blame Butch for the split naturally-he knew what he was dealing with when he took JD on and shouldn't really have expected 100% focus from the big man because it really isnt JDs style!

I think he will make top 125 on the money list..he's never been a journey man..He'll miss a few more cuts this year but i laso think he'll do very well in the odd tourney enough to keep his card.

Anyway, we should be more worried about DDs form surely.

John Daly has about as much chance of making the top 125 on the money list as I do shooting scratch golf at the end of the season.

He is currently #182 on that list as we speak... #125 isn't all that far away.

As was already said... he is only one or two decent showings away from keeping his card, just like every year. He's made half of his cuts this season, so it isn't like he is just showing up and stinking up the course.

Hi

How can you blame Butch for the split. The guy wanted a coach and Butch said yes, as long as you quit your wild ways, he didn't so Butch no longer is working with him. That doesnt make any sense that you blame Butch. Obviously he knew what he was getting into because he gave him the ultimatum. Daly failed to live up to it so he canned him. Also he doesnt have a card right now, he plays off sponsors exemptions.

182 and climbing? or slipping?

Hi

You couldnt have said it any better.Everyone loves JD because unlike every other tour pro--John actually has a smile on his face and enjoys the game more than any other pro because he plays for the love of the game and not the money. He is really good friends with the owner of 84 Lumber and has called him "Daddy" I mean how many other pros are as genuine as John though. Listen to what Fuzzy Zoeller once said --“We need John out here. He's a breath of fresh air." —Zoeller “Fuzzy (Zoeller) tells me I should have played in the old days, with him and Tom Watson and Lee Trevino and those guys, ... They never worked out. All they cared about was winning, not the money. Trophies, that's all that has ever mattered to me, I never cared about the money.”-John Daly ^^^^I wish everyone would say that.

"People think the size of the head is most important. Wrong. It's getting a quality shaft. test different shafts to see which goes the straightest. Also, more degrees of loft on the head is better than less. Eleven degrees is about right."

Now I'm pissed at Daly. He cost one of my favorite players, Ryuji Imada, a spot in the Palmer Invitational and possibly the Masters.

Yes, the alternates on the pro-am sheet should have been around, or at least available, I guess. It sucks that Daly missing his tee time costs these guys so much. Imada especially, with his ranking so close to a Masters Invite and being in this week's event and next week's, and he plays so well in Florida and Georgia.

And Nick O'Hern who was only five minutes away. Sadness.

Awards, Achievements, and Accolades

He is going up in flames. If he keeps going to these sponsored events, shooting 80s, missing the cuts and hanging out in the beer tents signing young ladies' rear ends he will eventually run out of exemptions. His latest pro-am blunder hurt more than himself.

He really needs to get it together before he burns all his bridges.

I just read this, you could just see him slowly slipping this year. After making a cut or 2 and then posting big numbers in his last 2 tournaments. It doesnt matter to John because he can just go get hammered and wallow in his fat, lazy drunkeness while losing a few 100,000 at the nearest casino. Its sad because this guy used to be a player.. now natural talent isnt cutting it anymore, his demons are catching up to him. And you no longer here the stories of how he donated 30,000 out of the blue to some charity or some person in need. I will pull for him to get sober from booze and gambling and make an honest come back.. but i will no longer be a fan of the way he plays golf or handles himself. I wonder if he'll be sitting on his death bed from heart failure at age 50 and think.. man i regret not using my talent to win more majors and be considered one of the all time greats. Instead he'll be remembered as a fat alcoholic who wasted his talent.

Since you put it that way, I LOVE THIS GUY!!! I mean, it's hard to say something bad about a guy who decides to crack a cold one during a rain delay, party it up a little, and come out with an NFL head coach on the bag.

I know, I know, completely unacceptable for a professional golfer, but you got to admit it's kinda funny. I also came across this while reading an article about last weeks adventure, "Yep, that tour card should be coming any day now."

He might have made an honest mistake this time, one story I read says he made the Monday pro-am, worked on his putting Tuesday with Robert Gamez.

Probably got drunk on Tuesday night as part of his pre game ritual, and did not pay attention and double check a major detail?

I like everyone calling him fat....is Tim Herron, Mark Calc, Craig Stadler, etc... lazy because they are fat also?

I thought it was cool he hung out with the average Joe and signed hundreds of hats at the beer tent last week, he honestly thought he was doing the tournament a favor.

I think he made an honest mistake, why would anyone want to drop a duece in Arnold Palmer's punch bowl????

I am a little pissed did want to watch him this weekend, looks like non stop Tiger now...I guess I'll settle.

Im assuming you are also fat? John Daly would rather drink beer and eat wings at hooters than play golf. Strumming a guitar is the only excercise he gets besides golf. Im not stereo typing all fat people as lazy but John Daly is definetely lazy.

Hey! John Daly is the most popular player on tour for a reason. Not everybody on this planet is a perfect human being. John is well liked because he is different from the regular robot tour player who never signs autographs. Yes ive seen these type of players. People realize that they can actually talk to John Daly because he lets them talk and doesnt let his ego get to him--this is unlike other golfers who carry these big egos like theyre tiger or something. John will open his hand to anyone-the fact is that John makes some mistakes-yes but doesn't everyone?

I don't think that anyone is giving him a hard time for making mistakes. The problem is that he keeps making the same mistakes over and over. There comes a time in life where you must start to learn from your mistakes. People that don't are just destined to repeat them. It becomes habitual. I guess that is the shame in this matter because the guy has so many fans and so much talent.

Hi

I am disappointed that JD is not player in the Arnold Palmer-he was scheduled to on the PGAtour.com site..don't know the reasons.

As far as JDs bankruptcy is concerned, he makes millions off the course each year because of his iconic status-so he'll have no problems making alimony payments etc.

JD plays when he wants to-he's done it all with 2 majors so why should we worry?

That said i am disappointed that he isnt starting this week.
