Since the last update, things have really gone downhill. I think going from playing 4-5 times per week last year to once every couple weeks has really taken it's toll on my ability to have any consistency, especially because I haven't had much opportunity to get to the range, either.
Irons have been pretty bad, but made some progress yesterday. Went back to a focus on feeling more weight in my heels to have less sway in my backswing and less flex in the front knee.
Driver, on the other hand, has a been a disaster. Can't remember the last good, or even decent, drive I hit, both on the course and on the range.
You might just pay for the fitting, find out which club head is best for you, and which shafts (#1 and #2 preferences), and then sit on it for a few days. Check the manufacturer's web site and see what they have. They might offer the same shafts for a few hundred less per set. And just order direct. Don't feel guilty. You paid them for their time.
Yes, I should have gone on to say that people who profited this year would probably think of it as a good year... monetarily. Thinking even Joe Kanfer would have given up profits in exchange for no Covid-19, no pandemic. Ask him that one day, in a hypothetical way. I'd be curious about his answer.
