Max Richter, who wrote the music to HBO's "The Leftovers", recomposed Vivaldi's Four Seasons . I was at this performance at the Poisson Rouge, a venue for contemporary classical music and such, one of the trend of more casual places (read, less stiff ass) to listen to classical music, you can order a beer/wine and drink during the performance. You can't see it, but that's a MacBook next to Richter. I haven't cued up The Four Seasons for like 10 years because I've heard it a million times and got tired of it, but this version is such a fresh take on Vivaldi's masterwork.
