TRUE Linkswear Sport (OG and LUX)

My Lux Sport came Thursday. I have been wearing them since. 1st impression is they are true to size. The caveat is if you are used to most True fits these are a tight. I plan on playing tomorrow morning in them. This will test both comfort and waterproofing. They do feel secure in the heel but tight in the toe box. Will post back after the round. The Wunderlux sole is not as bad as I thought. Good looking golf shoe.

Laced up the Luxs Sport today. What a great walking shoe. As i said earlier the shoe is tighter in the toe than other True shoes. Since they are knits I would imagine they will loosen a bit over time. For those who had some issues with the knit ii high backs tearing up your back ankle, i can tell you these do not. The Lux Sport has really good stability in the heel and your feet feel planted with each swing. Very pleased with this shoe after 1 round. I wonder how they will breathe in the summer. The Originals(my favorites) do not.

Lux Sport now a ridiculous good price of $119. @iacas took your advice and ordered a half size higher. 

Og sport also $119 and knit iI $99

I was thinking of getting them for some time now. The 20% off just pushed me over the edge. 👍😁👍

Well, first time trying them on. They are super snug even for going a half size up. They seem pretty rigid feeling.  The heel drop is larger than what I am accustomed to. 

I hope they wear in well. 

What I might do is buy a thinner insert for the shoe to see if that gives me a bit more room. The snugness is being felt in the heel part of the shoe from where the insert curves up a bit. Maybe even for going half a size up, it isn't wide enough in the heel area for me. 

I do have a set of these... I really like them.

      I hope you don't mind me raising this one from the dead. I got shortgamechef's video access thing for a few months in 2024. I watched his yip fix videos (the general gist is similar to the first video above, but with a lot more detail) and it made a lot of sense. I was working on it in my backyard off a mat for a while and my yippy thing was mostly gone. Aside from anything else, the flop shot using that technique is so easy and controllable. But I got onto a golf course for the first time of the year and found myself by the green on a downslope with the ball sitting down a little in the rough and I was, not to put too fine a point on it, f***ed. Shallow is all well and good from a good flat lie and I understand it, but you can't make that your be all and end all. I still don't know if it's a good idea to use steep all the time or just when you need to. I have a hard enough time with one technique, let alone too.  Just got a pitching skillest lesson with Erik and unless I misunderstood things some, he wants me a bit steeper. @iacas - where do you fall on the steep vs shallow argument and how do you vary it according to need?
