Don't toss the 5w though - a 2h will likely fly lower. Let the wind and the course be your guide.

Same issue here. My left foot is a half to a full size smaller than my right. I've worn 13s before, I've worn 12s, but I've gone to wearing 12.5 for activities (running, etc.). I need new golf shoes, but it's more difficult to find 12.5s, and I've not yet convinced myself to buy them yet until I find something under $100.

What's in my Tartan Precise TS-869 Bag:
Woods: Northwestern 1W, 3W, stock grip
Hybrids: 855 Graphite shaft 3H, 4H, Golf Pride Tour Wrap midsize grips
Irons: 855 R flex steel shaft 5-PW, Golf Pride Tour Wrap midsize grips
Wedges: PureSpin Tour Series Diamond Face 52* AW, 56* SW, 60* LW, Golf Pride...

got a full new set of Titleist Vokey wedges 52/8, 56/14 and 60/7 in an Oil can finish. Now, I've used them for 4-5 rounds now and the colour is starting to wear off in the sole and the sweat spot area. Should this happen so soon?? I now that it will happen at one point but was not expecting to happen this fast!

Golf Pride Midsize Tour Wrap 2G grips for all my clubs, irons, driver, fairway wood & hybrids.

Most of my grips were only 4 months old, but the new midsize feels so much better, having slight arthritis in my fingers.

I'll be trying out a few Penta's this week in my league. I have already worn the shoes once and they are a major upgrade to the shoes I've had for the last seven years.

Most recent store purchase(s) @ Golf Galaxy:

I would love to have a pair of the 360 4.0s. I just couldn't swing the extra $$. The Penta balls are awesome. I won a sleeve at a tourney for just getting a ball on the green (yeah we are that bad).

    • Day 187 (05 Nov 24) -  Got in some time with the 4&5 hybrids in the backyard - hitting hard foam balls.  Rehearsing preshot routine, focusing on tempo, by reenacting some of the shorter par 4s at my regular course - hybrid off the tee, hybrid approaches.
    • Day 36 - 2024-11-05 Went downtown for a little over three hours. 90 minutes of that was doing other stuff, but I got a little practice in. Some messing with GSPro (v3 is now out) and the settings, some chipping, some little stuff. Not a ton of full swing stuff, and what I did there was mostly backswing stuff.
    • Great point - my experience from the 2004 Oakland Hills Ryder Cup. I got 4 tickets for Friday, had some buddies go with me and we saw shots on about 4 holes. You really have to decide who you want to see, then try to jump ahead to see them somewhere on the back 9. If you got into the grandstands then you'd likely have a good view only of that green/tee box.  Sidenote: I knew a guy who was a member at Birmingham CC, and he was a marshal on the 18th hole and he was out there all day, both morning and afternoon groups. And he had 1 group play the hole in the morning and another in the afternoon. Huge corporate tents around the 18 green, along with some grandstands. And you get to see maybe 6 or 7 shots counting the approach and putts.  Learned my lesson, I have no issue in going to another Ryder Cup, especially at the prices they want for 2025. I think it was $40 for a practice round (went to one of those as well) and maybe $75 for Friday/Saturday, $100 for Sunday. And it was "limited" to 20,000 tickets/day, which is still very crowded to follow 4 pairings around the course.
    • Of course he can score in the low 70's in a really short course driving it that short. But the course rating is going to be in the 60's so is not like he can call himself a scratch player.
