I love penalty kicks for what they are. But I agree it’s a shame to use them as a game decider. I guess their concern is just how long a game could go with the ‘golden goal’ in play.

Remove a player from the field every five minutes or something.

Do people complain that Hockey games are done the same way? I’m not a hockey fan but I haven’t heard much gripe with shootouts?

There are no shootouts in the playoffs.

This is how we did it for City League youth championships. It is way better than shootouts.

I'm sure I'm the minority. But I like the games ending in PKs. 

One, I feel like it pushes everyone to do what ever they can to break the tie near the end so they get frantic. 

Two, I just like the system. I'm not soccer or Futbol aficionado but I like the system.

What a game it was so exciting.

I agree it would have been more exciting to continue but think about it after that second extra half could the players really go on any more?  Would it be that exciting watching half dead players playing garbage?  I think PKs is imbedded in game and most likely forever.  In any case, the level of excitement we saw today might not really be matched by anything else I have seen.

It is the beautiful game the way it is!!!

It was great and see you all in 4 years 🙂
