ProSENDR

From the minds of golf industry leaders David Woods and Sean Foley, the ProSENDR is a revolutionary new golf training aid that not only helps golfers of all ability educate their hands and wrists but also incentivizes...

prod-2_2048x2048.png?v=1669643701

What does the ProSENDR do to promote a PRO level swing?

  • Educates your hands to achieve pro level wrist conditions in your golf swing
  • Regulates radial deviation at the top of swing to avoid “run off” (wrists over setting and disconnecting from your arm and rotational structure)
  • Promotes right wrist extension and a flat left wrist at the top and through transition
  • Through the concept of “sensory touch”, it helps encourage accelerated motor skills for rapid learning
  • By maintaining contact with the back of the right hand during the beginning of the downswing, the ProSENDR is an incredible shallowing tool, further enhanced while using the attachable connection sphere
  • Supports pre-impact (P6) trailing center of mass (club head behind the hand path leading into impact for square strikes)
  • ProSENDR’s non-restrictive design allows the golfer the freedom to square the club face and attain a full release pattern in the through swing
  • Excellent for learning the trusted and reliable “handle ahead” chipping and pitching technique
  • The attachable wrist Compression Sphere can be used separately or in conjunction with the wrist aid for improved connection and width as well as the necessary forces/ torques applied to the hands which are paramount to great ball striking
  • The Compression Sphere can also be used separately for chipping, pitching, putting and full swing!

  • iacas changed the title to ProSENDR - New Training Aid

Looks like a slightly better version of the Greg Norman Secret.

I got the Secret from a teaching pro in the early 2000's. It was really only good for chipping.

I think over the years there have been a number of training aids trying to do what this does. It seems like it may be better than most in terms of wrist angle, plus allowing you to still have some freedom of movement during the strike.
The ball thing is fine. I've seen that done a number of different ways.

This product seems to combine two training aids in one.

I like the idea that it's a reminder but still lets you move out of the reminder...  if that makes any sense.

Their video isn't the best. It's kind of hard to see what he's talking about with the finger thing, plus it doesn't really show you somebody "doing it wrong" and this helping them "do it right".

Over all, I don't see anything revolutionary, it's kind of a tweak on other stuff I've seen. Which may be a good thing, actually.

My bag is an ever-changing combination of clubs.

A mix I am forever tinkering with.

Reminds me of a Scott Cowx drill where he has students put a swingyde at 45 degrees to the club face which gives feedback on trail wrist loading. I do that drill every day... So I ordered the prosendr to see if it’s an upgrade in some way.

And I am still in sticker shock about the price. Almost $200 bucks. Yikes.

So it helps to produce the feel/position at the top but ‘allows us the freedom to release on our own’ ? That’s probably where I screw things up. So great position at the top, then I just flip on through?

Lots of hair gel in that video!

They really didn’t explain how the device would give feedback to the proper motion in the video. They may on the site protocols. I’m not a fan of the ball between the forearms. I’ve tried it before and it seemed to move my focus to keeping the ball in place and away from what you are really trying to feel in your arms and wrists.

Also, I have a $20 wrist brace that I’ve used at times that actually restricts too much cupping at the top and looks similar to this. I wear it when my wrist is sore.

I have to agree there's alot of similarity to the one currently promoted by Foley et al. Patent infringement? Available in Canada for $36 CDN instead of the $200US.

The ProSendr in the OP doesn’t wrap around the index finger. It has a different function.

I mean… it's not too different…

The ProSENDR has a "notch" or something for the index finger, IIRC.

Different enough to not infringe on a patent.

I mean… what's the argument here? When did I say it infringed on a patent?

I have a bin in the garage full of training aids. If there is sucker born every minute then I get reborn every time I watch someone swinging beautifully on youtube or instagram. That said, this aid hasn't done enough to convince me to overspend on it. I just struggle to see how with the limited time I have to practice I could get to full speed swing practice swings and not still perform my patented flip.

My only question/comment had to do with the obvious similarity to something that Norman marketed and the one Foley is trying to sell. While there may be no patent infringement, the old saying...If it looks like a duck, quacks like a duck then maybe it's a duck!
