How many golf balls do you carry in your bag when you play?

I was just curious. I carry about 6 balls. I used to carry as many that would fit in the bag.

How many golf balls do you carry in your bag when you play?

I usually carry 2 dozens of Pro V1x, but that runs out quickly since Vokeys destroy em.

Not sure of an exact count but my norm is to put a fresh dozen in the side pocket with one sleeve pulled out for current play. In addition, the front / bottom pocket has some found balls in it.

When I pull the last sleeve out for play I'll usually replace the dozen.

I did get a laugh from my father on a recent round we played together over the July 4th holiday. He was moving my bag and commented on how dang heavy it was. He said he knew my irons were really heavy but what else did I have in there? I think I had 3 dozen balls and loads of other mess. I explained that since we were vacationing over the 4th that I wanted plenty of ammo for lots of golf. I think at first he was thinking I normally tote that much gear.

I bet I have five plus dozen in my bag. I hardly ever lose a ball,but I like to try different balls and I will stick a couple of balls in the bag and some of the guys will give me a ball to try and it gets dropped in the bag for a practice round and they keep growing in the bag. I play almost everyday so the bag is always in the truck,so every couple of months I clean out the ball pocket and take 2-3 dozen out. So after I clean out my bag I usually start with about a dozen or less new balls. and the cycle stars over again.

I never carry 13 balls.
I always carry 2 really really really old balls, that way if I come to a hole with lots of water I just feed the monster by throwing in one of my old balls, that way it does'nt eat the new ball I hit.

About a dozen maybe a few more but I'll go out with as few as six.

Probably a dozen of random balls that I find at courses and then a dozen Nike Juice.

6 to 15 depending on where I am playing at. One of the courses we have been playing has stopped cutting the grass bordering the fairway/rough, if a ball gets into that stuff it's gone.

Never less than 12. If I check the bag before a round and I have less than 12, I'll buy a fresh dozen.

Also there's a pocket in my bag where I throw balls I find on the course if they're in good shape. Last round I just played those to use them up (although surprisingly I only lost about 4 of them).

I never carry 13 balls.

So if you have 14 (playing one, 13 in the bag) and you hit one in the water, do you throw another one away to get the total down to 12 before you continue playing?

Anywhere from 12 to 18. Recently, I've probably been only losing 2 per round, but better safe than sorry.

I can't wait for the day when I'm able to only take 3 balls out with me!

I have always started with 18 balls for as long as I can remember. Just a superstition that if I give myself one ball a hole everything will be ok. If I can't play a whole round before they are all gone, then I need to quit that day anyway!

It's never been an issue but one time I was using my fifth ball on a shot to green #1 but settled down and only used a couple more the rest of the round (I put 4 balls in the drink before I finally cleared!).

I usually make sure I have about a dozen total in my bag before heading out. Can't ever remember running out of golf balls during a round, thankfully.

I stock up on balls once or twice a season, so sometimes there's 3-4 dozen in there, and others there's only 3-4.

I'm superstitious - 8. 8 is a lucky number for some cultures.

Of course, when I find a ball, that makes nine, and my round is ruined.

If it's a course with lots of water, or full of hazards, then 14, assuming the worst is I lose all but one ball on driving holes.
