I don't wear my wedding ring when I play golf.

BTW, op, per the title of this thread - one of my biggest spelling and pronunciation pet peeves - It's j-e-w-e-l-r-y, not jew-le-ry.

Jewel, not jewle.

I wear my wedding ring. And the shell necklace I got with my family in Florida. And that's it. But that's the only "jewelry" I ever have on anyway.

I pretty much wear my wedding ring constantly, except when I play.

As a lefty, it seems to get in the way of my fingers when I interlock them. I wonder if other lefties have this problem?

The stuff in my bag (i.e. The clubs that I haven't tossed in the pond. Yet.):

I figure a version of my watch has been to the moon, so my piddly 103 mph swing isnt going to do anything to it. I take everything out of my pockets though.. no cell, no wallet.. I wont even swing with an exta ball in my pocket.. but that is a superstition thing :)

I have noticed that I am the only one in my Men's Club that likes to wear a watch when playing. That seems odd to me but to each his own....it would feel strange to leave it off now after so long.

Phone, glove, extra ball, tees, wallet, and any other papers all go in my pockets. They don't bother me there. Easy access :)

Cargo pants are great aren't they? You can carry all your stuff on every shot. Need a brush for cleaning grooves? Check - I got that. One or your playing partners needs a bandaid? Check. Another buddy needs an Advil and the fourth is complaining that his sandwich needs some Frank's hot sauce? Check and check. Pretzels anyone? Seriously though, after years of having to remove all jewelry (including watches) while playing sports (rules a rules) it's second nature. Regarding having a wallet in my pocket - I'm sure the beer girl likes getting damp money on hot days - eww.

Yes. For years, my wedding ring was too tight to come off w/o soap and lots of pain. Now it's loose, but I leave it on. Otherwise, I know I would lose it. Probably should take off the watch and alleviate some of that farmer tan, but I don't.

Seems like I'm not alone in putting my watch, wedding ring, keys, wallet, phone and change into my bag before play. The other guys I play with don't bother but I like not having to fumble in my pocket for a tee. I put my hand into my right pocket and there it is. Left pocket has pitch repairer. Back right - score card. Back left - Glove. I couldn't handle having my keys and wallet fighting for space in my pockets.

I put everything in my bag. I leave my cell phone on, but silent, so I can check it a couple times in case there's an urgent call. Wallet, keys, money clip, smokes, it all goes in the one pocket in my golf bag. I keep a couple tees in one pocket, ballmark tool in another, and a cigarette lighter and some cash for the beverage cart in a back pocket if I'm not at my 'home' course where it all goes on a tab. I also keep a spare ball to toss out in the rough ;)

I don't take off my wedding ring. (I think it would act like it's welded there.) But, there are no stones in it.

My wife gave me a b-stone ring that i wear on my right hand, and i always take that off, along with my watch.

So, i guess i'm not a yes or a no, but a sort of.

I'm extremely "unfussy" about balls. I'll play anything white and round!  I''ll even play the colors i find.

I take my wedding ring off to golf and to practice. My wife doesn't like it much but I've lost a ring before that way. I figure better safe than sorry a second time! Also my grip doesn't feel quite right with the ring on. Perhaps because I'm so used to taking it off? The ring stays home, the rest go into my bag. The ring goes into my wallet if I go practice right after working.

    • Have a 19° (moved to 20.5°) Titleist 915H. I just love the club. Beautiful feel off the sweetspot, high launch, soft landing. Versatile. In the future, with less overall speed I will replace my 4 and 5 irons with another hybrid, something around 26°.
    • Broke the head of a Stealth Plus on a warm up. TaylorMade send me a new head but I decided to upgrade it to the new IQ10 LS and pay the difference. While I was waiting for the 8° head to arrive at the store I messed around with all the multi brand putts they had available. I instantly liked a black TaylorMade Spider, not the new one but very similar. The weight felt perfect. Big line in the middle for easy alignment. I was playing and old Zebra so the change in technology and feel was huge. Fast review of both clubs.. Driver QI10 LS. I always hit to ball up in the sky. I was playing the stealth at 7° with a 60g X low flight shaft and I was still hitting it pretty high. With the QI10 playing it at 6° now is almost hard for me to hit it high, with the same shaft the ball comes out lower and with less spin. so I'm really happy with the change. Putter Spider. I love it. It took me an afternoon to figure out how to grip it (it comes with a superStroke grip) but after that it all came into place. More stable on short putts and a good weight to swing smoothly on long putts and with added forgiveness over my old zebra.
    • I have a 2h but we don’t get along anymore. It’s a bit of an abusive relationship - she gives me just enough hope once in a while that things are going to be better and then it’s back to the same old shit. I went to a PING fitting recently with the intention to replace the hybrid with a 5w or something, thinking maybe I’ll be better with a fairway wood than a hybrid. But it turns out the best club I hit that fits in that slot in the bag is another hybrid so I ordered it.
    • Day 547, May 2, 2024 18 holes with @DrizZzY using my TruStick®. Hit a LOT of really good shots today.
    • Not the last thing I bought or bought anything at all but Sun Day Red stuff seems a bit overpriced for it essentially being rebranded Nike apparel. I'm hearing the resale prices are wild though. Either way, I highly doubt I will indulge as I'm not much of a brand guy or a collector. But to keep up my super nice guy image have never turned down a gift though 😇 Tiger doesn't seem to sell stuff like MJ or Kanye did.
