What kind of loft does his driver have and what shaft is in it?

Also what shaft is in his 3 and 5 wood?

I am just stabbing at this... but in the past Tiger has played an extra stiff Diamana Whiteboard with an 8.5 degree head... not sure if this is his current setup.

Just curious, but... why do you care?

Still uses the 8.5 degree driver and a 13* 3 wood and 19* 5 wood.

No idea on the shafts on the 3 & 5 wood but he still uses the diamana whiteboard.

It's cool seeing what the pros game....not that I'll ever need their gear....but it is still fun to read up on it.

Are there any statistics on this? I've heard it being said on TV that many do not use hybrids, in contradiction to what was expected anyways.

I've got a good excuse....don't know about the rest.

I laid off the game for a few years and came back and everyone was gaming them. I didn't have a clue. I had always prided myself on being decent, at least, with my long irons. Finally tried the hybrids and was hooked really quick....maybe on the first swing.

tigerwoods.com it lists all his current gear but it just says that he has a 8.5 degree Nike Dymo prototype. It does not list the shaft for his driver.

Driver is a Diamana WhiteBoard 83X, FW shafts are both Diamana BlueBoards in 103X IRRC. I know they are BB, just no 100% sure on weight.

I'm looking to buy the D3 driver, but I can't find a shaft.

They only make the voodoo and the diamada that comes with it in stiff. I'm around the same as tiger swing speed wise, but I can't find the right equipment. I went to golf smith for a fitting, but they have no idea what shaft to put in it.

I think it is much easier to work a 3 iron than a hybrid in my opinion. Hitting it low, high, right, or left is just easier to me with a 3 iron than with a hybrid. Although a hybrid is much easier to hit out of the rough, I'll give you that.

I personally like the feel of a solid iron shot over a solid hybrid shot. I agree with the workability too. I like the hybrids and they are easier to hit, but as long as I hit my irons solid that is what I will stick with.

There are

lots of shafts out there - you need to look harder. However, if you've got a 120mph swing then you'll need sonmething xtra-stiff and weighing around 85-100g....and you're going to have to shell out an extra $200-300 for an upgrade.
