Drop my handicap to 4.4 (dunno if it's manageable)
Average about 30 putts per round
Hit about 50% of GIRs (20% last year)
65% of fairways hit
Shoot around a 75 +/- one stroke

Since I only started playing golf last April (at the age of 32) I'm trying to keep my goals attainable. I shot an 83 and a 78 last year, but it was on a very easy (par 69) course with extremely wide fairways and almost no hazards. I was able to shoot under 110 consistently on the better courses in my area. My goals for this year are to break 100 on a consistent basis at those courses and consistently break 90 at the easy course.

PS: Another goal is to take some lessons!

Well, I met a couple of my 2009 goals so here we go:

1. Established a firm 20 handicap, now to shoot for 15
2. Break 85
3. Take 2-3 lessons
4. Really concentrate on course management
5. Keep detailed statistics of every round this year (already started)
6. Win our 3-day buddy golf trip, coming up April 5th
7. Swing analysis and custom fitted clubs

All of these will not be possible without practice. That is #0.

Overall goal.
1. Qualify for the national tour.
then to get there,
2. handicap down to scratch in 4 months.

To get there,

3. Increase distance.
4. increase accuracy approach shots.
Generic work,
5. working out - loosing weight getting fit.
6. Technical on swingplane, proper turn.

1. Improve my short game.

To give a quick update early in the season

1. I am averaging 1.5 putts per round through my first 4 rounds of the year 2. I have lost the rest of the weight that i needed too, but i have not seen my distances increase 3. Well I doubt I will ever be consistent 4. I shot an 84 last week Maybe I needed tougher goals

My goal is to break 100. I shot it 3 times last year. I hope to be playing in the mid 90's by the end of this year. I need to work on my putting and my long iron shots. And last to take a couple lessons and play more than last year.

No lofty goals, just

1. make Stack & Tilt work for me
2. play golf shot by shot
3. hit every shot just right in the middle of the club face

Will see where to go after hitting my first milestone (1.) hopefully in late April.

1. Win the Masters

If I fail at #1, these will be my 'back-up' goals:

2. Establish a handicap index
3. Practice more than I play
4. Play an entire round with only one ball

1.My main goal is to break 90 and stay in the 80's.I had 90 last weekend,my best is 86 last summer.Usual score mid to low 90's.
2.Straighten out my fade/slice with driver.
3.No 3 putts(that alone would drop me 6 or so strokes a match)
