I might've posted about this in this thread before, but it bears repeating: if you are looking for top notch television, Deadwood is the way to go.

I just finished my third rewatch of all three seasons and I am as struck by it this time as I was when I first experienced it. What a great, great show.

Al ****ing Swerengen - best name evah.

Putting off watching Netflix's Making a Murderer. Along with the movies The Big Short, Experimenter, Stanford Prison Experiment - Quadruple bill of just how sh*&ty human beings can be to each other.

No, just Making a Murderer.  Already saw a couple of the movies. Will eventually watch it. Heck, even PBS did a piece on it.

Ah, gotcha. Did you watch Stanford Experiment? Seems interesting, but also a bit creepy for my liking.

It was bloody disturbing but tbh, background watched it and parceled it out "watching" it in sections because it was hard to take. I have no problems with the scariest of horror movies, but this... As I understand it, Das Experiment was a similar movie and then there was an American remake.

My wife has been bingeing on Nurse Jackie.  I've caught a few episodes here and there, and it's pretty damn good.

No, it's a Hulu exclusive. Like House of Cards for Netflix and Transparent for Amazon. If you have a Roku/Apple TV/Fire TV/Chromecast, Xbox, Playstation or a smart tv, then you could do the one month free trial, but the show will probably run longer than that.

I canceled Hulu a long time ago because of the commercials and some content you cannot play through a streaming device and was already subscribed to Netflix and Amazon, but I'll be re-upping for the duration of the series.

Ok cool, thanks. Would waiting for the whole series to run and then getting the free month be an option? Binge in them all in a week?

    • the rules have changed, but this would fall under 11.2 in the current rules.  General Penalty to any player who deliberately deflects a ball in motion, and you must replay the putt.
    • Day 250 4-29 Getting chest through with speed on downswing and wrist arch. Also worked on some moving the pelvis slightly away in the backswing. Feel like im going too fast and long, looks like it on the recordings too.
    • Interesting that it's no penalty, but then again, I can't imagine someone would purposefully put their foot out there in this situation or one like it.  And then there was the time someone purposefully deflected his own ball during a major, but that's very different too. The only time I can recall a ball I hit hitting another player or their equipment was ages ago -- over a decade and a half ago.  I had a 3' putt for an 89 and someone (a random pairing, not someone I knew) decided it was a good time for goaltending practice.  That wouldn't fall under this rule, though (and it wasn't in a tournament anyway). Thanks for continuing to share these, Dave!  I always find these interesting.
    • Day 51 (29 Apr 26) - Worked with a few of the golf team kids plus my grandson (he’s too young for the team as it’s middle-high school age and he’ll be 10 Sat).  He put on a small hitting clinic (hitting off the same tees as the rest of the boys) - one of the older kids called him a “coach”.  Worked in a few shots for myself - had the light bag: driver, 7w, 4 - 6 - 8 - Pw - Sw (DCI 962’s except the Sw a 981) and Zebra putter….got in some great tee shots, a couple of recovery and an awesome up and down for bogie: 55 yds out, hitting 4th shot due to 2nd getting tangled in limbs - see the window I need to hit for a tight spinner with the Sw - nail it to a postage letter distance from the cup for a tap in bogie….my kind of practice.
    • Day 21, April 29.  Before going to work this morning, I worked in my indoor practice room for 20 minutes.   This was entirely 6-iron shots with the usual step.  Video yesterday showed me that I'm still straightening my trail leg too much (leading to the backswing length issue I've been working to fix), so I focused on not doing that in my rehearsal swings.
