I'd like to have a bunch of golf socks, probably order them online somewhere. Problem is, I don't have any place to try out different ones.
Anyone here use golf socks and can recommend some? I've got one pair of FJ something today, which I like.

What I'm looking for is a thick sock that can fill up a golf shoe. I like it when the foot don't waggle around inside the foot. Everyday socks are usually too thin. I always golf in pants, so no low cut ankle socks.

Check out SmartWool socks. Somewhat pricey, but they are the most comfortable socks that I have ever worn. I look for sales to add to my collection - washer and dryer safe too.

The FootJoy ones are very soft, but I'm slightly partial to the Under Armour ones.

I have narrow feet, so I'm always trying to find thicker socks. With the push toward no-sweat golf shirts, and moisture-wicking socks, it's hard to find anything thick. I may consider the wool socks. As long as the wool is soft, is should work even in warm weather.

Smart wool makes many different styles and thicknesses (Is that right??). They are spendy as mentioned above, but I use them for hunting in sub 20 temps as well as work as I'm a nurse and on my feet for 13 hours/day.

smartwool, northface, patagonia....wool is where its at. they're plush and have better wicking properties than any synthetic. look into cycling socks, they're usually your best bet just make sure to stay away from cotton -- its your enemy.
