How many of you keep all your clubs a consistent brand? I personally tried my best to keep all my clubs from Nike, but money reasons left me with my old Tom Watson Lob Wedge and Taylormade putter. Do you feel that keep the same brand allows for consistent feel, or do you like to find something that fits your particular taste in that facet of your game, no matter what brand?

Nope, I go to fittings ect and buy what ever suits me.
But since I can now go to the Mizuno factory and fitting center and get all there gear at cost, I will be switching to all there gear soon =)

I go with what looks / feels / performs best for me.

Example; as much as I like Ping irons, I really wasn't impressed with their hybrids or fairway woods despite all the praise they receive in various reviews.

I play what feels and performs the best for my game. I do like all of my grips to match. Also, wedges of the same brand, model, and shafts.

my bag has 12 clubs out of 14. is there a particular reason? titleist has the only clubs i can get custom fit for in the area and that's why i play their clubs.

I do for the most part. I've always had a comfort level with Titleist irons, so right now I play AP1s. I love the feel and look of Vokey wedges. So I guess all of my irons are Titleist. When it comes to metals/woods, I have always liked Callaway's offerings. So I have a Callaway driver, 3 wood and 5 wood.

What I Play:

Driver: R9 460
4 Wood: G15

Hy: Callaway FT 3Hy

Putter: Newport Studio Select 2.7

Ball: Nike One Vapor

I was a TaylorMade Wh*re for the longest. Playing the original RACs, then the RAC forged MB, then the Tour Burner. Late last year I decided that I took too much of a step back by getting the Tour Burners, but I didn't really care for the Tour Preferreds or R7 TPs. Thats when I hit my first Mizuno and fell in love. However, I've been thinking recently that I may be selling myself short by not giving all the other brands a chance. So, next year (hopefully) I'll be getting fit for new clubs from top to bottom and I won't play the name game either.

I think that there are different companies that excel in different types of clubs. For instance: Titleist makes great wedges and putters, but I'm not a huge fan of their irons. Mizuno makes good irons, but their drivers aren't great. Taylor Made makes great drivers, but their irons and putters aren't great. Fairway woods and hybrids are a little more volatile though.

For me it comes more from "upgrading" my clubs at different times. I just bought a Callaway iron set but have had my Callaway driver and 3 wood for almost 3 years. My wedges came from a purchase a year and a half ago because the Wilson wedges I had were not comfortable for me. My putter was given to me and I like it, but will be buying a new one in the near future. I never buy an entire set at one time, mostly because I feel comfortable with what I'm playing at different times. No disrespect, but I just am not the guy who comes to the course with the entire TaylorMade (or whatever brand) set, driver through putter complete with bag and hat. I like to hit different brands and demo different clubs.

I play what I think works the best for me. I play Callaway woods, Cobra irons, Cleveland wedges and an Odyssey putter. I have upgraded to everything in my bag at different times. I am not against playing all one brand, but I have never played or seen any brand that I like from top to bottom.

I play what I like the feel of but I like some consistency in groups. I couldn't have three different wedges for example...they all need to be the same for me. I also like my fairway woods and/or hybrids to be the same brand for some reason....and obviously a matched set of irons. Beyond that not a big deal to me either way and I just try to pick clubs that fit my needs best. I think Titliest does the best short game stuff with Vokey and Cameron and I love Mizuno irons. My woods/hybrids are ok but these are not clubs I'm really tied to but they are doing their job well enough for now.

could care less about brand synergy. as long as my iron set is one brand...the rest of it doesn't matter. My wedges don't even need to match and my woods don't need to match. whatever works for me.

How about showing my boys at Nike some love! ;D

wedges gotta match - need that consistency for sure (same brand, shaft and grips)
thats about it
I play a Cally 3i and B'stone remainder from 4-PW (thinking i might match a 4i in there to0, same as my 3i)

i currently play 4 brands in my bag

Not at all. I'm partial to Mizuno, but honestly I'm happy with any good deal on a club I hit well.
