I actually found it the worst when Taryn would say sit. She would hit the ball and almost mid swing, she would just call out "siiiiiiiit, siiiiiiiiit" in the most lackadasical voice.

Being from the West, I tend to love country accents since I rarely hear them. So I happened to enjoy nearly everything Taryn said

I was hooked on Carling the first time she did her little birdie dance in that skirt. She's a pretty solid player too LOL

So who is it gonna be tomorrow? Carling or Lilly?

carling.. because i have developed a huge crush on her for some reason, maybe its cuz shes hot and can play golf..

i have to agree with te3point5 about the whole sit business tho.... all i hear after every shot is siiit, siiiit, from all of them. like its habitual.. the ball can be 10 yards short and they are yelling sit!

I have to say that I founf myself not liking Carling much from the first episode on because of her mouth so I am hoping that Lilly pulls it off but I honestly think Carling may be the better golfer.

actually think that Carling is going to win it......but I think the best golfer is out of the competition anyway...Ryan. That is what I have really disliked about the show is that in the format they have chosen too much rides on just one shot and not enough on several...like maybe a full round played in flights. anyway, it has been enjoyable.

Well, I was going to say "Carling for the win"... but she's already up in Times Square, so that's it I guess. This is a phone photo, sorry for the quality. Carling has also been all over facebook, YouTube interviews recapping episodes, etc. Would you do that if you finished second? Perhaps... She did do a video blog for Golf Channell in 2009 about her year on the Duramed Futures, so she's comfortable in front of the camera/media savvy, etc.

Maybe not Times Square, but somewhere in NYC?

I've heard Lili wins because when Michael Whan caddied for a Futures Tour player earlier this year before taking on the job, he caddied for Lili.

Her latest Facebook status: "Wow!!! Big break sandals FINALE is on tonight on golf channel at 9pm (est). Win or lose, this was the craziest experience of my life!"

That would lead me to believe a loss.

I'll be rooting for fellow Ohian Carling, but wouldn't be too let down if Lily won either. She wasn't flashy but her golf was solid the entire show.

btw, I plan to yell "Sit" or "parada" every time I hit an approach shot. I don't care if my ball is anywhere near the green.

If you're watching the finale with stopwatch in hand, the entire front nine was condensed into 5:30.

I thought this was strange. 15 minutes into the show and the match was half way done. They are going to milk the heck out of these last 9 holes.

    • Best drive I've ever hit: I will not be answering any questions about the rest of the hole. Or the round, for that matter.
    • I tried hybrids way back when TaylorMade introduced the copper orange Firesole Rescue, the clubhead having been made of titanium which was still relatively new even in drivers back then. I couldn't hit it well at all, and while the success of hybrids suggests that the modern ones must be quite good,  I'm perfectly happy with the 5, 7, and 9-woods.  Early ones of mine were Top Flite Intimidator 400s made by Spalding... and also made of titanium, now that I think of it.  I still have them in my basement. I do bag a driving iron, but it's a one-trick-pony that never sees fairway use.
    • The last time I played Maxfli balls, Dunlop was still making them. How long ago was that? Mostly, though, I used to play Top Flites (original 336 dimple model) when Spalding was still making them. Now I play the Pro V1x. Last time that I ordered some, Titleist was still making them. Let's see how long that lasts.
    • Once, on a course in Middleton, Massachusetts that I used to love but has since closed down,  I hit the wrong half of a huge, UK style double green.  Then I made the hundred foot putt.  Tough to  forget that one.
