Been playing in a new league this year. After the 18th each member of the foursome shakes hands and says " nice playing with you" . Haven't done this much before. Do you guys do this?

Everytime, whether I know them well...or just met at the beginning of play. Common courtesy

If it's just a casual round with a couple of buddies I don't usually shake hands.

If it's someone I don't know or someone I don't play with all that often I will usually take off my hat and shake hands.

Career Bests:

9 Holes--37 @ The Fairways at Arrowhead-Front(+2)

18 Holes--80 @ Carroll Meadows Golf Course(+9)

Home Course:

1) The Fairways at Arrowhead

If they are my buddies and I know them pretty well...No. If we are not buddies or I don't know them that well...Yes.

Funny how that works...

Ha Ha! - this was like Sideshow Bob stepping on rakes. Funny, funny, slightly less funny, hilarious. Nice job.

Always. Not to the point home too forcefully, but courtesy toward fellow players is a key of the game of golf and, as Sideshow Bob observes above, you dun better don't not dun it.

Every time. Just a nice courtesy.

I will judge my rounds much more by the quality of my best shots than the acceptability of my worse ones.

I always shake my playing partners hands on 18 and say nice game. I am a big advocate of common courtesy and being a polite person.

I always shake the hand of my playing partners after the round, if you don't, it doesn't with me. (I'm sorry, it was so tempting)

Puns aside, I always like to introduce myself to anyone I've never played with before everyone tees off and shake everyone's hand after the round. Almost everytime I've played this year, I've gone out with the same guy and still shook his hand and congratulated him. I just see it as common etiquette. I've never been concerened about taking off your hat and sunglasses. Since I almost never wear a hat or sunglasses when I play, I never knew it was common courtesy to remove them at the end. I don't think that anyone is less respectful if the are wearing a hat on their head, if you offer to shake my hand, congratulate me, and wish me well in the future, I wouldn't mind if you had three hats and a pair of comically oversized sunglasses on.
