To be honest, if I wasn't a hockey fan, or had only been playing for a month, I probably wouldn't be starting a poll about hockey equipment without using google to come up with a relatively complete list.

I did know about the other brands, I just discarded them from my poll because they are generally less favorited compaired to other brands from what I have experienced. To avoid over shadowing them I used a other option, giving the user a choice to not choose a 2nd favorite to keep the poll accurate so I can still derive a favorite brand among golfers.

So what your poll should have said was something like this:

"Which of my favourite brands is your favourite brand? You might not see your real favourite brand listed because I only included the brands I like, which I like because they're the most popular." Can I change my grade of this poll now? I think a D+ was too generous. I really need a coffee.

Please stop trying to hijack my thread. If you get this upset from a poll you should seek a counselor.

Also, I never mentionned me liking any of these brands, I wrote that those are the brands I am always hearing about and suggested from other golfers . Ofcourse, some will not like any of these clubs which is why I did not exclude them as there is an option for them.

I think you're right about these polls. Most of them are missing one or two key elements, but when it comes to pushing my buttons, this one hit a grand slam.

Carry on - and good luck.

Ping and Macgregor. Macgregor is gone now, but I have played thier clubs since back in the persimmon days. I have recently come out of the stone ages and retired my 1983 Tourney ColoKrom blades.

I have always liked Ping clubs and I recently purchased the G15 irons. They call them a helper club, but they work the ball just as well as my old blades.

I chose Titleist because that's the brand of irons I plan to get, plus I have friends who have them and love them.

If I ever get happy with myself for finishing 12th or 15th, someone needs to put my clubs away and I'll take up tiddlywinks.

Selected TaylorMade because I love my burner irons.

But also love my Callaway FTiZ driver and hybrid. And my PING wedge and 3 wood.

    • Thank you.  I'll cross it off the list since it isn't going to achieve what I want.
    • While it does turn out that both Tiger and Phil are less squeaky clean than I previously believed, I don't think golf quite has the worst in professional sports.  Or maybe they're better at image management.   Obviously I'm not fond of Phil's issue we're discussing in this thread (or his involvement with LIV) or Tiger's choices of how to drive.  I used to really like Dustin Johnson and, even before the LIV situation, we started to hear rumors that he bought more snow than Seward, although I don't think those stories were ever substantiated.  Meanwhile, I did think of Anthony Kim as the "good, bad boy" of the tour for a while fifteen years ago because of his party persona -- and if it turns out the worst he did was show up hung over to play (barring what one thinks of LIV), that's pretty good.  And I'm still happy he found a way to get his life clean. If we contrast that with some other sports I enjoy, I'm sure we could find a nice long list of NFL players that, at one point in my life, I was quite fond of, we get far worse disappointments (to put it mildly).
    • Answering that properly would land me in hot water, so I'm not going to. I don't think that many people would do that. I think that in certain circumstances many people would be willing to overlook someone doing that. But I was really referring to what I assumed was Tiger's transgressions (cheating on his wife) not Phil's.
    • No! Is a large part of the human population selfish, apathetic and cuts corners in the name of self-preservation 'more than they would like to admit', yes. Degenerate, scum, etc?.. no!! Most humans/men would not grope a woman like Phil is accused of doing (I think he absolutely did). That is scum. I mean what % of men do you think would do that? Seriously??
    • I don't think that is true at all. That is off-topic here, I think.
