Tons of power, raw talent, and a great, if not streaky, putter. Reminds me of a young Davis Love III but probably nicer.

A relatively stress free W. Congrats. Pavin must be happy.

I guess Casey heard what Miller said about him. I couldn't help but smirk when he said Johnny Miller said I should be at the range.

Is the BMW in Boston? So it's 80* there and in the 60s and raining in NYC. Go figure. At least I got a sports fix as the US Open is kaput for today.

Just got back from Cog Hill and it was my first time spectating pro golfers. WOW. Its freaking ridiculous how good they are:

First started out at the driving range watching players practice. Anthony Kim was up and he was bombing every drive. There's a barn at the end of back end of the range about 280 out and Kim was hitting it about every single time. Also watched him on the first hole hit it out a greenside bunker to about 1.5 feet from the pin.

All these kids are big hitters. It doesn't even look like they're swinging that hard and they bomb their 5 iron 230 yards.

Lastly, its ridiculous to see how many people watch/follow Phil and Tiger. Yes, it was cool to see them (I was about 20-30 feet from them at the first green), but I sure didn't follow them around like the masses did. Its kinda sad how no one watched the leaders.

but without the perpetual DLIII walk like hes got a wedgie.

Maybe it's the Polo sportswear? Speaking of Polo, how come Luke Donald looks good and Tom Watson looks like he got the wrong suitcase?

DJ's clothing looks well tailored (to bring this trainwreck post back on track).

As usual, tournament thread starts with Tiger and ends with other player. How many tournaments ya (Tiger believers) need to realize tiger's game was history? It started this year and it will continue from now on. There are so many better and more talented players (especially younger ones) out there and are approving every week.

Just got back from Cog Hill and it was my first time spectating pro golfers. WOW. Its freaking ridiculous how good they are:

My father and I went to the 3rd round of the U.S. Open up in Chicago in 2003...went to the range and was just in awe at the power and finesse all those players had. Then walks Tiger..and there were 3 driving ranges...he went to the far left (3rd one), we were in the stands on range #1 (far right). The entire stands emptied to follow Tiger..all the players on the range just laugh and smile shaking their heads.

But back to the BMW..yea amazing job by DJ...I really hope he kicks ass in the Ryder Cup this year...and I am really glad no matter how much bad fortune came his way this year in various tournaments, he kept his sights straight forward and kept pushing on and got another win. awesome.

Make a bet. I'll take it. I think you're dead wrong.

Sure. What can we realistically have as a bet? Well... if you get a chance to come near DC area, I will treat you a round of golf on your desired course. If he doesn't get a win on 2011, same goes for me?

How about a hundred bucks instead? I don't think you're likely to come to Erie and I'm not likely to go to DC any time soon.

Tiger gets a win in a PGA Tour sanctioned event in 2011 and I win. He fails and you win.

Congrats do DJ. I'm really impressed with his persistence and generally solid play after a couple of really, really rough experiences this year. I'd love to see him take it all, that'd be a great exclamation point to put on the season.

The press blows everything so out of proportion (obviously). It's been said a million times before, but it doesn't seem to register with people.

Ian Baker Finch, Duval had much steeper falls and Woods is getting the same treatment. Woods didn't win this year, but with everything going on in his life, his results are decent and I am no Woods fan (off the course).

The press makes DJ look like a perpetual Job. Yes, a couple of lost opportunities, but he's still had a great year.

MSM blows.

Tiger not winning in 2011..... LOL ........... Cmon. He's not finished. The Master is coming up in April and that course belongs to Phil and Tiger.

How about CBS start showing the guys in the top five and not the guys at T27th? I've yet to see a shot by Charlie (haven't watched it all), but I've seen shots from almost everyone else inside the top 10. Moore and Casey, whom I don't like, sitting at top, does not make it any better. If Charlie does not get the job done, I hope for Dustin or Stricker.

Perhaps if you were watching the correct channel you would see more golf shots!

You are probably the only person looking forward to watching Charlie over the big names with exciting games.

Hush now. He made his bet. I'm gonna be $100 richer!
