After running a quick search and coming up empty (if there is a thread on this please direct me), I would like to get a nice collection of pictures posted here of home set-ups. I just bought a mat and have plans to make an indoor practice room for the winter. Any thoughts or ideas are also welcome (I do work for a home improvement/construction company so I have a lot of tools available). I am working on a budget but already have the following:
-10'x10'x9' room
-Practice mat
-Large hitting net
-Flip camera to record my swing
-Touch screen laptop for video viewing and analysis

As I said, any pictures would be helpful. Thanks to all that post.

Sounds way better than mine. I chip and putt all winter on any open spot of carpet. I do plan to go to a carpet store and see if I can get a piece of tight pile carpet for putting. Those simulated greens are too expensive for what they do IMO.

Damn. Sounds sweet. All you need is a flight monitor to make sure you don't groove a swing that looks good on camera but is actually not hitting the ball where you want!

My home setup is just one of those movable 12' putting mats with auto ball return that I roll up when I'm not using it...

A grip-less callaway 3-wood stuck in the ground in the backyard for chipping , a coffee mug in the living room for putting, and an old tent ghetto-rigged into a driving net.

Best set-up a man could ask for.

At this point I am thinking I will cut a section out of the floor to put the mat into so it is level. But do not have any other ideas.
I think I will build a small putting green as well, maybe 4'x10'. Any suggestions for a cheap green surface would be helpful. Most of our greens are on the slow side around here unless it has been dry for a while.

As cool as some type of flight monitor would be, it unfortunately is out of the question at this point.

A 10x15' net between two trees, next project is to be build a proper and level hitting pad. I am going to install a section of plywood suspended between the edges of the pad to allow for give

I have an unfinished room in my basement measuring 12x10 where I set up a net and a hitting mat. I ran into a small issue a month ago when the follow-thru on a 3-hybrid took out the fluorescent light. I had taken numerous swings with 7 iron down to wedges, but one swing with a longer club pulverized the plastic cover and all four bulbs. So I have to overcome that hurdle. Also, there is no flooring, so I would like to put some old carpet down to keep the ball from bouncing all over the place after it hits the net.

Aside from that, the room also houses my beer fridge, including two beer taps! Eventually I plan to put a bar table and a couple of stools down there.

In the bag:

Look for a wool throw rug, great for making full swings, and if large enough good for putting practice

    • #2, Golf would get really boring if you only play Par 3's. Par 5s let you have a lot more strategy and design to play with.  Also.. as a short hitter I'm normally laying up on the 2nd shot.
    • I'm 22 days and 6 hours away from playing the Cradle.  Therefore I'm going with the Par 3 course!
    • Wordle 1,375 2/6* ⬜🟨⬜🟨⬜ 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩 Purely a SWAG guess….back to back eagles….i know I’m headed to the land of 6 misses….
    • Interesting for sure. I have actually had my instructor try to get me to get the elbow in front as well. That actually spiraled me into the slump I am currently working out of. I would disagree with him saying that lowering the arm might be the simplest and easiest move in golf 😄. I am having SOO much trouble making that move instead of my hands immediately moving toward the ball from the top. It's like my mind has 0 patience at the top and tells me to GO GO GO.
