dont really need any new clubs but was thinking of maybe getting a fitted driver...
i have a titleist 907D2 that i bought off of ebay
would they fit me a new shaft to it?

With winter approaching, I would buy a professional quality practice mat for the indoors/garage. I already have a net.

I would like a new stand bag, preferably this one:

that should leave me with about 20 left over so I would probably grab some Nike Power Distance Soft golfballs

a new, nice bag...a new 60 degree wedge and a 50 degree wedge.

I'd probably buy a supply of new golf balls, golf gloves and a putting lesson.

A good camera and stand so I can easily video myself.

that's an interesting slot setup

I'd need to swap a club out for that bag to work. A 4 wood/hybrid combo would be a start.

What are you looking at with that budget - available from a golf shop?

I'd see if I could sell on craigslist for 190 one-dollar-bills and then spend all afternoon at a strip club.

The best idea [for me] would be to spend it on lessons. Regardless, I would probably blow the money on golf balls or putters. You can never have too many putters.

Never.

Good caveat.

iacas's camera writeup exemplifies that $200 will go a good ways toward a quality camera, but I don't know what inventory is available at a shop. Calling around to the local shops or making visits couldn't hurt.

necro bump

So July 4th tournament, I actually won $200 pro shop credit that can't be used for green fees or carts, merchandise only.  I don't need balls, I have more than enough of those, and just got a new putter (which coincidentally was the primary reason I won the $200), wedges are good (maybe replace the 58* cleveland so it matches the rest of my vokeys), irons are good, bag is good.

The top contenders are:

- New 3 wood: my current one is decent, 8 years old but I only hit it 4 times a round (Callaway X Tour 12*)

- New Driver: my current one is a few years old, I hit it pretty well, but when I hit some new drivers on the market, I gain roughly 10 yards (current is Callaway Razr Xtreme)

- Save it for a time I really need something new

The $200 would cover nearly all of the 3 wood, and call it half of a new driver.

What would you do?
