I was at a party the other day...needless to say me and my buddies decided to roll a joint.

The next day I went to play a round of golf.

It was the worst rounds I have ever played..couldn't focus on anything, topped the ball and sliced and shanked constantly.

The sick part is, week before without smoking the day prior, I shot a 76 and played pretty good for the 2nd round of the year.

anyone have any experience with this?

I don't think i'll ever be smoking pot again.

I seriously doubt you had a bad day because you smoked a little pot the night before. You saud you were at a party, how much did you have to drink? How late did you stay out til?

my get up and go musta got up and went..

If you are not used to smoking pot, i wouldnt think you would be very good if you are feeling its affects.  i would stick to drinking.

You didnt think it would make your game BETTER, did you?  It deprives your brain of oxygen to create a sort of buzz, which isnt going to be good for your focus or concentration.

lol, i dont do drugs or anything but it doesnt deprive your brain of oxygen as a means to give you a buzz. It contains thc which gets you high from receptors in the brain. Did you learn that in the early days when they were trying to scare everyone from using marijuana saying it causes guys to rape girls and go on violent rages?

I'm all about the beer drinkin...BTW, are you sure you weren't smoking while writing your post? Haha! Sounds like an off day though, medically I have no input, but I don't think a joint will have an effect on your play the next day.

It wasnt the weed the night before. You just had a bad day..

I've seen someone smoke AND play golf at the same time.. And shot a 78... sooo.. I think it was all in your head

the amount you would have to smoke for your golf game to suffer the following day would be LEGENDARY.

Keep it where the mowers go!

I'll drink a few beers while I play, but if I give a hoot about what I shoot I just say no to cannabis sativa. I save that for after when I want to get closer to God and relax.

Going out to play golf hungover after drinking your face off the night before?  Yeah, that might effect your game if you're yakking in the bushes and have nausea.  As for sharing a joint with your buddies the night before, I HIGHLY doubt it would affect your mental state/golf game the next day.  It was probably all in your head... a couple bad shots, and you may have built it up in your head.

Never trust something that bleeds for 7 days and doesn't die

Yeah probably was an off day.  Read an article about how smoking pot can impair your coordination and concentration the next day.

My concentration seemed to be horrible

HIGHly doubt it can be blamed on 'da healin' herb mon'!  Many PGA tour pros look stoned as hell and seem to work the ball just fine.

And here I thought Dustin Johnson was just stupid. Guess I know what he was doing instead of reading the rules sheet.
