The original posts weren't even anywhere out of line. There's nothing to object to.

And you never make rude jokes with your friends? Are you a member of a Nunnery? Life is meant to be enjoyed. I honestly can't understand your logic.

I don't demean other races or the sexual orientation of others. Ever. If you think that's OK and you enjoy that sort of humor then that's your issue. I get plenty of enjoyment out of life, I don't need to be sexist to do so.

Nobody in this thread demeaned other races or the sexual orientation of others. Are we even in the same thread

Where's the sexism? The only thing i saw was someone commentating that she is apparenly a lesbian. Is homosexuality a hushed up topic in your family? People can talk about this stuff openly, you know.

There was no "demeaning" of other races or sexual orientation in this thread.

I know. That was in response to deasy55's post about making rude jokes with your friends. But yes, joking about Kelly Tilghman's sexual orientation is out of bounds IMO.

Seriously guys? C'mon, this thread should have died with the announcement that there would be no announcement. The only thing that came out of it was that Steniy is joining Excel Sports Management.

Excuse me? Since when does rude jokes = demeaning of races or social orientation? I make rude jokes with my friends. Included in those friends is a gay person and a person of asian decent.

The 'announcement' was kinda like a balloon with all the air let out of it.  On another note....is it not ironic that MSchott is being quite defensive towards certain comments when M. Schott (Marge Schott) was one of the most bigoted sports franchise owners of the late 20th century IIRC.  I'm just saying....

FYI, M is the first letter of my first name and Schott is my last name. no relation to Marge. No irony.

I can't believe this thread took up 3 full pages. Some people need to learn life lessons, and the fact that they are adults and are still immature babies speaks for itself. We have no business talking about sexual orientation on this website. It's about GOLF.

And thanks to you there were about 20 extra messages about her orientation.  Well done.

But then again, what the hell do I know?

Not his fault. All he did was try to end it in the first place. But some people just keep talking and talking and then in turns into an argument.

    • Yeah, let's just ignore that there were only 5-10 great players back then… 🤣 Ha ha ha. Whatever you guys have to tell yourselves… Tiger won MAJORS 22 years apart. That's a long time. He wasn't missing the top ten on the money list because he sucked, it's because he didn't play due to injuries.
    • Pretty accurate.  Another way you can look at it is how many years was Jack top 10 on the money list. It used to be the list that mattered, nothing else came close. Jack was top 10 from 1962-1978 and then once more in 1983 making 18 years total. He had another 4 inside the top 20. He was #1 8 times.  Tiger was top 10 from 1997-2009, 2012-2013, and 2018 which is 16 times total. His next best were 24th and 38th in 2019-2020. He was #1 10 times.  Honestly, they're both pretty long but Jack has quite a few more seasons in the upper ranks. Makes sense when Tiger barely played in 2010-2011 and then again from 2015-2017, and pretty much 2020 onwards. That's not an excuse for Tiger though.
    • Bangers and mash. In keeping with the golf theme.🫢
    • Played three and a half rounds in England last week. I will not be playing more than maybe 4 rounds on any one course. Probably only about 20 rounds all year and between 4 and 8 of those will be alternate shot, so don't really count. Off to a pretty good start though. Three and a half rounds gave me 5 birdies and an eagle (with two of those birdies being on the same hole number).
    • First round of 2026. No birdies and a very pedestrian 86. Maybe I should have hit a few balls over the past 100 days. Next year!
