You're slow to anger but a guy asking a question "ticked you off"?

If not a 3W, you should have probably at least hit a 6I.

You've said both the trees and the OB are tighter to the fairway until the 100-yard marker, then you played a club that when hit well would get to the 100-yard marker. Why not play even a 5I, or a 4H, to get past the "corner" of the OB and trees?

The people with the "LSW" badge know what I'm getting at here, but I might have asked you the very same question your friend asked you. I would have done it much sooner, OR after you played, but honestly his question was probably a good one.

P.S. My question is not to derail the topic. We have others for this. Just to give you something to think about.

I wasn’t really angry, but more annoyed that he asked his question right before I was gonna swing. Up until that point in the round, I was laser focused, but the timing of his question rocked my concentration. What annoyed me was not what he asked, but when. If he had asked me 10-15 seconds before he did, I would’ve been fine.

I did hit 6I on the shot, emphasizing accuracy over distance. I knew I could hit a 6I straight, and solid contact would’ve left me with about 100 yards, which was and is where I’m most confident. Back then, I couldn’t hit half wedges to save my life, so I chose the 100-yard shot instead.

Just throw strikes!

Sorry, just getting ready for baseball season to start. It looks like my son is having a 5 week American Legion season this year, even though there is no AL state or national tournaments.

I played a practice round yesterday.   It was slow so I was hitting 2 or 3 balls into the greens.   The only time I was a little anxious was after the fourth hole where one of the three guys decided to write down his score and make phone calls after finishing the hole but not heading to the next tee.   He actually made 4 phone calls in 4 holes all while waiting next to the greens.

Like I mentioned, it was slow so I really didn't have much of a bitch but still....

That’s like fingernails on a chalkboard.

"Nice shot", when I just hit a heeled / pull slice that happened to land in the fairway.

They're being polite.

And to be honest, when a 17 hcp hits the fairway, it’s a nice shot, regardless of how it got there.  ;-)

Fair enough 🤣

(Technically 16 if we’re rounding, dropped to 16.4 at the last revision)

Your opponent holing a 10 foot putt for a half...that's annoying.

    • I know you guys were discussing this like a year ago. But, ironically I just had this discussion with my brother-in-law. We literally just did one of these. I'd always used the "Slow-Cook, Rest, and Sear" Method. But my bother-in-law was convinced the "5-Min/lb, 500 degree" method was the way. So, we gave it a go. I have to say it came out great.  I have a 25 year old, electric oven, GE brand... Not sure if that matters, but it came out great. ... Of course we stressed that nobody was to open the oven.   I don't make these all that often so, I'm not sure if I can fully recommend one method or the other, because without doing a Pepsi Challenge, I'd say both ways come out great. 👍😁👍
