Did my second workout after work today.......35 minutes of HITT on the elliptical machine.

My fitness goal for January is to do double cardio workouts on the elliptical machine 3 days a week.

Posted

After hitting the weights twice a week consistently for the past two months, I’m feeling pretty good (I have no worries if I don’t push reps at heavy weights anymore, but finally at least stronger again than I was in high school haha).

Today, did 3 sets 8 reps of hang cleans at 205, with ease.  Also got 9 reps at 225 on the bench press.

My wife started a new beach body workout this morning. She shamed me into giving it a shot this evening. I thought I was in pretty good shape until attempting this workout. Looks like something I’m going to keep doing.

you probably are in pretty good shape, just not for that workout. I am in good shape, but when I started playing Pickle ball, I strained my hamstring twice. Anytime we start working different muscle groups they have adjust. and that is why it is good to vary our routine.

I learned a valuable lesson on Thursday.  Do not do a full hour of Pilates before playing.  Today I can barely lift my arms over my head.
