Yeah, the first time I think I overdid it because I ended up in pain for a few days, haha.

Nah, it happens to everyone. It's traumatic to muscles that are rarely ever used at that kind of level.

Mine are getting more and more accustomed to it, since I've been training them roughly every 4-5 days instead of once every 3 weeks lol.

Haha.

BTW, do you know a way to get an estimate of body fat percentage without using any professional instruments?

There isn't really a way.

Best way would be compare yourself to this picture for an estimate.

By the way, yesterday I got in 189 g of protein from actual foods. 237 g total including my pre and post workout shakes. It can be done. ;-)

New PR!!! 3 reps of 300 lb squats. First two were kind of weak so I made sure to go low on #3....man was that hard to get up haha (that's what she said?) If I get more weight I may attempt the 2x bodyweight squat...only 14 lbs away...

What's, "PR?"

Yesterday was leg day and not feeling is as much as I cutback on the weight a bit:

Dumbbell Squats 30 lbs x 3 sets x 12 reps
Lunges 30 lbs x 3 sets x 12 reps (each leg)
Calf Raises 50 lbs x 3 sets x 12 reps
Dumbbell Deadlifts 30 lbs x 3 sets x 12 reps

Not sure, maybe I shouldn't do 12 reps for each leg on the lunges.  Man, was that tough.

Nice work!  Hitting 3 reps at 300, I'm sure your 1RM is at least 3 plates.

True, I just meant some exercises are a lot harder to get through than others, haha.

Although, maybe that means I'm not doing the easier ones with enough weight.

So I posted this in my 1000th post thread but 32 days into my lifestyle change, I'm down 15.4 pounds.  Very excited and motivated to keep going!

I'm so results oriented, just not with golf, thankfully. :-$

    • Yes, this is the 2024 model. DSG ruined what Callaway perfected for most golfers. A darn good 3 piece golf ball. Now it's a 2 piece cheap ball. To me a 2 piece ball is fine and a 3 piece budget ball is better. I prefer a slightly harder ball, something in the 65-75 compression range that will perform similar to the old Gamer. The Titleist tru-feel is pretty good. I planned on giving Maxfli straightfli a try.
    • Is that the current generation Gamer? Another old standby for a firm and inexpensive ball is Pinnacle.  There are two models, the Rush and the Soft, but I don’t know what compression they are.
    • Good advice, but according to DSG website it is a 45 compression ball. My current ball is the Top-flite Gamer at 70. 45 is too low for me to go.
    • The 3 piece Maxfli Trifli is 2 dozen for $35.  The Trifli does not feel as soft as the Maxfli Softfli, which is why I like it. Other options would be one of the Srixons, which have a buy 2 get 1 free offer.
    • I have been carrying a 7 wood more often this year.  It’s especially handy if you have a downhill lie to an uphill green.  It’s also handy if the rough on the course is deep.
