Right side: Ball marker, divot tool and little retractable brush for my irons

Left side: Spare ball, maybe an extra tee but my pull cart has a tee holder so usually i don't.

Any extraneous pocket shit beyond the above goes in the side pocket of my golf bag to be summarily ignored until golf is over. Cell phone OFF.

Yes.  My bag (most bags) has one of those "valuables pockets" and my wallet, phone, and keys are go in there for the duration of the round.  I may peek at the phone every couple of hours to make sure there are no 911 texts or calls from the wife, but otherwise, its out of reach.

Ah, I see that you are still backwards, just like in '07. :-P

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Anybody else also have this problem:  After almost every round, I forget something in one of the pockets.  For example, I'll finish the round, pull out my wallet and phone, and replace my tees and ball markers, then 2 hours later while eating dinner, I'll realize that my glove is still in my back pocket.  Or my aimpoint chart is still in my other pocket.  Sometimes, even the tees or the ball markers.  It's always one thing.  I'm losing my mind.

I didn't realize I'd started the thread. I put my wallet in my valuables pouch in my bag now. Otherwise the same, yeah. :-)

Pretty much like everyone, coin, ball mark repair tool, tees plus smartphone. No glove. Aimpoint is on phone. Phone especially when slow play.

Kill slow play. Allow walking. Reduce ineffective golf instruction. Use environmentally friendly course maintenance.

A little OT but I gotta break the habit of calling it a divot tool, so stupid, has nothing to do with divots.

There, let's see if that sticks.

I'm a little surprised by how many of you guys keep a pencil in your front pocket. Aren't you worried it will puncture your...valuables?

Lmao.. Punctured nuts = fail. I'm also quirky and don't like a tonne of stuff in my pockets but this is what I carry: My left front pocket: ball mark repair tool, has a ball marker attached to it. Couple tees. Right pocket: nothing. Rear left pocket: scorecard w/pencil Rear right pocket: nothing. I keep my wallet, watch and valuables in a pouch. I keep my smartphone either on my in the cart or on me to check yardages.

As little as possible! I Can't use my left pocket while wearing a glove! So In my right pocket I have repair tool/ball marker, & 2 tees, one for driving, one for par 3's, everything else is in the bag! Warning: I don't trust people who carry a provisional ball in there pocket!

    • Day 11, 1/11/26.  Today was putting, along about 6' of carpet, with coins on the ground to keep me cognizant of what I'm doing.  I think this is the at-home drill from LSW. (Ugh, missed two of the last four days -- 1/10 and 1/8)
    • Day 9: 2026.01.11 Hit some balls at the range, concentrating on weight distribution at address, got some on film.
    • Day 468 - 2026-01-11 Loooooong day. Did some work in the patio door (as a mirror) when I got home.
    • I caught a video on this driver; the face tech seems crazy. Looking at the heat map for ball speed, hitting it basically anywhere on the face only loses a few percent ball speed. The surprising and counter intuitive part to me was that for flat faced clubs, ball speed loss is directly proportional to distance loss. For clubs with bulge and roll this is apparently not true. The surprising part of that story being that the max distance potential looks to be a tiny pee sized area for this driver, and I feel in general for drivers. The counter intuitive part being (the myth?) that blade irons have a pee sized sweet spot and missing that tiny spot causes dramatic losses. And that modern drivers, maybe 2017 on, have massive sweet spots and are ultra forgiving. Where in reality, if this heat map data is valid and reliable, it might be a bit of the opposite. This insane tech driver appears to have a pea sized "sweet spot" while Mizuno Pro 241 irons are 28% more forgiving compared to the average of all clubs measured. Not compared to other players irons, compared to all clubs from all categories, players to SGI! The Pro 241 being essentially just a solid chunk of metal with no "tech" at all. Which for me devolves into a whole mess of what is forgiveness really? And in measurable and quantifiable results how many yards, or feet, does that translate into?
