Wow. Where can you bail?

You have me intrigued.  The Majestic has a similar hole but I don't recall the bunkers.  I give up; where is the photo from?

man I wish we had anything that scenic around here. Those michigan courses look amazing. Might have to make a summer trip up there. But then again those desert courses look awesome and the links courses and of course I have to go to Bandon. Too many courses, not enough time (or money). Lol

Here's a shot of my favorite hole at the Winstar Golf Course in Oklahoma. It's the Par 3 9th on the East course. Love the shot of the Clubhouse in the background.

Seventeen hole, Par 3, huge green - usually about 160 yds. Apollo Beach Golf Club (south of Tampa, FL).  Like most greens on my course....large greens, bumpy, and relatively flat.

Got to play this course last month for my birthday. A real classic.  I chose a 3 wood to spite my caddie. Hit it into the water. Then took out my driver and knocked one 15 feet from the hole. That's my caddie with the beanie on giving me the stink eye.

Took me a minute to figure out where you were, cuz for some reason I was drawing a blank.  Now I realize you are on #10.  I also see that you have it teed up pretty high and it looks like you've got a driver in hand.  You were going for the green!  How did it work out??

From the looks of his post, they won the tourney, so I'm gonna assume it worked out pretty well ;)

Ironwood Golf Course - 36 holes

My Favorite Par 5 on the Course

This is the one I call pinched nerve.  It is a Par 5 that is up the hill with a dog leg right. It is about 270 to run out the fairway. You have to thread the needle with the tree lined fairway.  It begins a stretch of three tough finishing holes.

This is the next hole that is also pretty tough, a downhill shot with long iron off the tee, and you have to land it in about a 30 yard area to have a shot at the green as it turns sharply to the left.  235 to run out to the end.

Great sunrise this morning, I need to get some waterproof shoes though.  The grass was a bit wet.

The green of my favorite par 4.

    • Day 7 - Mirror work, trying to hit that PGA-logo position in my follow through. Mirror really helped, need to film soon.
    • So hit the😝 irons crooked AND play layup golf?? Hahaha.. no thanks. I would rather stay home. 😊
    • First - glad to see these popping up again. Now to the topic at hand - I would rather be option 1.  If I know how far it's going (I mean a yard or two) I can always play to the wider parts of the fairway and/or the green and still do reasonably well.  Now if I could just really hit the "number" that well.
    • Day 2 (10 Mar 25) - Long day of driving to dr appt with son.  Thankfully got in one of my fave putting drills (two ball side by side) - the goal to have both balls come off the putter face equally by having them come off the putter face as close to the same time as possible.  First few rolls - the toe was leading the way as that ball flew off the face.  By the end of the drill both balls were basically equal off the face, rolling to within a couple of inches of each other.  Nice drill of focusing on squaring the face.  BTW - I was using the old Odyssey DF992.
    • Day 161 - 2025-03-10 Got a decent, long session in. Focused mostly on the backswing feels, and moved on toward the end of the four hours (not all hitting balls, I installed a motion sensing light switch in there too, and worked with a student over FaceTime for a bit) on the downswing feel.
