Fantastic shot by Bubba. If he wins today, he's done a hell of a job out there. Well, he has either way, just by getting into this position. He's hit at least three balls in the water and found 40% of the greens. His length has provided some birdies and short irons into the greens from the rough.

As far as only doing it only when he was out of contention, so what?

Actually, he was out of contention after about 6 holes. He pressed on to the 11th, which, by the way, is right next to the clubhouse. I'm guessing his thought process was, 'I'm hurt, but 10 is a par-5. If I can eagle that & birdie 11, I'll try to finish' - he didn't so he WD'd. So what?

Back to the tounament - if Bubba makes birdie off that drive...that would something quite special. And unexpected. One in 100 chance.

What a shot by Bubba!  And yes, that was in his statement that they read 45 mins ago.  He felt tightness on the range this am.  He tried to stretch and walk it out.  He decided to play anyway.

Where do you get that *I'm* trying to be an internet tough guy? Edited by iacas: ENOUGH of this crap, you two. Only left this part up because xxsoultonesxx has a valid response later.

wow, just got back inside and turned on the TV. Would love to see Bubba make this putt. I imagine, somewhere, the publishers and authors of "The Big Miss" have smiles on their faces.

Well if you bring someone's family in to a discussion in a negative way, what do you expect? If you look at the banter, YOU are the antagonist.

I'm not sure where you're from, but in some parts of the world, bringing peoples family in to a a heated discussion will get your ass whooped.

Making a post simply to degrade his father is unnecessary and rude. k-troop called you on it. You've got work to do in real life if this sort of forum is a venue for your dickish commentary.

Bubba and Keegan didn't git 'er done, but it was fun to watch. Good showing guys. Watching on line I loved Zach Johnson's reaction to hitting the drink on his approach - he just says casually, "Really?".

What a great tournament.  Best golf season in years, so far.  I'm really starting to be a Rory believer.  If only he weren't playing on the wrong Ryder Cup team.

    • Lazarus Irons....top notch and way cheaper than the big brands.
    • I know you guys were discussing this like a year ago. But, ironically I just had this discussion with my brother-in-law. We literally just did one of these. I'd always used the "Slow-Cook, Rest, and Sear" Method. But my bother-in-law was convinced the "5-Min/lb, 500 degree" method was the way. So, we gave it a go. I have to say it came out great.  I have a 25 year old, electric oven, GE brand... Not sure if that matters, but it came out great. ... Of course we stressed that nobody was to open the oven.   I don't make these all that often so, I'm not sure if I can fully recommend one method or the other, because without doing a Pepsi Challenge, I'd say both ways come out great. 👍😁👍
