So fir the first time in my life i have purchased brand new clubs. I have began to take golf very seriously over the past couple of years and decided now was time to get into a new set of clubs. I spent hours trying out different clubs and this is what i came out with and purchased.

Driver: Taylormade R11

Hybrid: Taylormade RBZ 3 19degrees

Irons: PING i20 4-UW

Wedges: Vokey SM4 54 and 58

Putter: Never Compromise Royal - Gambler Series

I spent allot of time to get down to this set and am thus far pretty happy. Whats everyone think?

Well, obviously all high end, quality stuff. What's not to like. Nice sticks, enjoy.

Looks like a good set up. But realize that a 19* fairway wood is actually a 5 wood not a 3 wood.

 913 D2 8.5* with V2 66g stiff shaft

910F 14.25 with Diamana stiff shaft

 i20 17, 20, and 23 hybrid

 AP2 712 5-PW with Dynamic Gold S300 shaft

 54 and 60

 D66

 Tournament Edition 1600

That makes more sense.

I felt like the UW was not lofted enough to be carried in my ping set.

Doesn't matter what people think if they work for you but if you want an opinion that's fine. Not used the putter. Vokeys are great. I hear good things about the Pings. Hate TaylorMade; over-branded 'fashion' sticks

Seems like a set I could shoot some pretty good scores with (for me).

Looks good. With 13 clubs, you might look for a 3W to fill the driver-hybrid gap.

Focus, connect and follow through!

Feel the same about TM, but if it works for you and it lets you shoot low scores, I say you have a good set.

Personally, I can't stand the woods...I hate the white club heads. Irons seem decent, got a lot of great reviews, just look a bit chunky/too offset for me. Love the putter series (although not the 'Royal' Style). I have a "Straight" in my bag and its a sweet putter. But, it doesn't really matter what I think of your clubs...only thing that matters is if they work for you.

I played twice over the weekend, those two rounds being the first with the new PINGS and i really could not be happier with them. I broke 80 for the first time this spring on my second round so i really cant complain too much. I have been playing with he vokeys for about a month now and have been sticking the ball fairly close with ease ever since i got them. I'm still trying to straighten out my drives so far this season but i have got to say i still have been getting good distance even with a fade/slice. RBZ hybrid takes a few hits to get used to but it is very true and straight. I have been consistently getting about 225-230 with it so i really cant complain.

Its whatever works for you. High quality stuff should work but i think getting it fitted might be the more important part. If you just picked those out then eek but if they are what you swing best then awesome. congrats and good luck

    • Oh yea, now I remember reading about you on TMZ!
    • Of course there's not a simple or knowable answer here. But the whole Caitlin Clark phenomenon is a nice example IMO. Suddenly there was wall to wall media coverage and national attention and... the women's tournament got similar ratings to the men's and much higher ratings than the men in the final four. With every indication that there will be some portion of the uptick that remains going forward. And there's the whole element that Sue Bird brought up. That basketball needed a pretty enough white superstar guard. One who looks like the "cute little white girls" that describes most of the soccer USWNT that's been able to achieve much higher popularity than any version of women's basketball, which is dominated by black players and none of any race who could be described as little... I do think women's sports are in a good place to start taking off more though. It's really only in the coming 5-10 years that the majority of girls will start to come of age with post Title IX grandmothers (as in their grandmothers were allowed to be serious athletes). I don't follow men's or women's basketball much, but in golf for sure the women's tour has gotten much deeper over the past 20 years and only looks to keep going in that direction. I've heard the same about women's basketball. And the patriarchal attitudes that socialized girls out of sports and everyone out of women's sports fandom aren't gone but have def diminished.

    • I have nothing to add other than I freaking love her swing and I think she's hot as hell and some of my golfing buddies disagree so I fought them
    • I’m not sure I agree. It’s just what the majority find more entertaining. Most people prefer women’s gymnastics over men in the Olympics. How much hype is there with the men’s compared to the women’s? I bet you can rattle off several big names in women’s gymnastics and only a handful of men. Women’s tennis …same thing. And sure enough, their purses are the same. However, WNBA, awful…LPGA, not near as much interest than PGA. Don’t think it’s really that complicated IMO.
